Abrams is merely saying she would do exactly what the GOP has done....and the DNC when they had the ability. There is nothing new here....gerrymandering is real and it works. Both sides do it when they have the power to do so.
As far as south African comparisons go Democrats are already living in a nation where they far outnumber Republicans and are subjected to the whims of the minority through gerrymandering and simply the way we elect officials....a senatorial vote in Wyoming counts exactly the same as 67 votes in California. There are more people who fit demographically into democratic voters in the US than GOP voters but there votes, when they bother to vote are they are allowed to vote do not count as much as their GOP brethren because of gerrymandering and the logistics of a representative republic.
Conservatives are a minority in the United States and Blue States finance the federal government.... this is why y'all pay so much lip service to "welfare queens" and the damage they do because you know that if you are a GOPer in a blue state other than Georgia or Texas you are on the dole and the dole is financed by red states. Your leaders do everything they can to make certain they can divide you from those in your same economic situation so they can continue to enrich themselves through low wages, poor working conditions and reduced regulations....you project what you know about yourself onto others and then have the gall to pretend the others are the problem.
There has only ever been 3 kinds of people in western civilization...field hands, house negroes and masters....there ain't but a few masters..and the one thing they are truly masters at is pitting field hands and house negroes against one another.....and the base of the GOP is propped up by house negroes who do everything they can to keep the field hands in the field and go about bragging about masters plantation. The feudal system was no different and our modern day reality is no different....master promises the minions some table scraps as long as they keep the rabble in line and the base of the GOP is satisfied with those scraps....

This situation assume that whites are less than 50% of the population, so even though they would be the biggest minority, they woudl still be a minority, and the Majority woudl be non-whites (even though no other one race would be a majority)

No my friend I am saying we are one of the 3....I ain't saying there is a better option. I get why a house servant wishes to remain a house servant...its tough on a field hand. I also understand why master wants to stay master. I am only saying that we'd all be better off openly admitting that we are either master or under the thumb of a master and only pay lip service to serving the master instead of buying into it hook, line and sinker. We would be able to coerce more scraps from Masters table if we didn't allow master to divide us....there's always been masters, always will be...if the field hands become masters they will behave as masters...always have....the thing to do is demand more of the masters share because we ain't ever been able to eliminate him because when we have attempted to do so someone simply replaced him....but we don't have to be dogs all the time...we can call him out on his BS from time to time...whats he going to do???? FDR proved this....master had just about whipped the dogs to the point they weren't going to stand for much more....FDR convinced master to throw 'em a bone...you've got bones to spare and they don't have to be premium bones...and quelled an uprising. That's all I am saying....just work toward master throwing more bones...not working torward keeping my bones and not allowing anyone else a bone everytime.
