Why are you unhappy? The seminars are needed at local schools to help with all the hatred and racism (esp. SJA and SMHS). SJA at least tried to get on track until adults got bothered. Don't pretend to be ok while out in public in the company of other races; be your true self as you are on this media.

Antiracism and critical race theory make the problem worse. The training has never been shown to improve race relations.

You think the goal is to improve race relations?

Wouldn’t it be funny if none of the so called topics posted here are real, and that the story is not true. How about someone actually research what the inclusivity training actually addresses. Or you could continue to keep your head in the sand and ignore the plight of your minority students past and present. Try being on the right side of history. WWJD

I think some innocents believe the goal is improved race relations.

I believe the people who push the theories, teach in universities, and do the training want to prevent the problem from being solved as it is their source of income.

Should never make someone feel guilty about their skin color! That is terrible! White privilege is a garbage theory! How dare the administration push that crap on those kids!

Admin should be removed unless this came from the nuns then parents should be in the school in droves letting them know how they feel about the entire process!

My daughter went to school there last year as a Freshman. She would come home and tell me all the liberal ideologies that they were teaching. She knew better went they strayed out of teaching to trying to indoctrinate them. Over this past summer, she decided to changed schools and go to St. Michael. I asked her a few weeks ago if she had any regrets, and she said absolutely no regret, it was the best move ever. I've quietly told a few people, but after this came out. I've shown it to them. I can honestly say, my daughter enjoyed her time at SJA, but now that she has changed schools, she says St. Michael is so much more better than SJA. There is no indoctrinating at St. Michael.....The grass IS GREENER on the other side of SJA. Call St. Michael, go on a tour, and see for yourself.

SJA is a beautiful school with great faculty, but it has the mindset of a small liberal university. There’s a lot of great things about the school, but the liberal based social justice warrior ideology is strong. When you look at all these protests and wondering why its full of young white girls, this is how that happens.

It started years ago with some of the nuns getting into teaching some new age type practices (reiki yoga, etc) and it’s been continuing since. For a catholic based school it leans pretty far left.

Speaking to students that are there now, these recent classes have only caused further division among the conservative and liberal student population, some about this thread.

You make the best point of anyone on this board. People need to realize that SMHS is a great option.

Are you stupid?

Seriously, this is one of the dumbest statements I’ve seen on this board.

I've had friends and family at St joes, catholic high, redemptorist(until they closed) and st michael...
My wife taught at St mikes very very recently and says it is a wonderfull school.
A friend of mine , (who's daughter is a senior at st joes), just told me that the daughter has been complaining for four years about the liberal BS.

As a believing orthodox catholic I would highly recommend that you DO NOT send your daughter to St joes.

20 yrs ago i asked a priest at St Agnes Catholic church, which Catholic high school he would recommend i send my children too.
He said, DO NOT send them to St Joes.

SMHS is considered the best coed Catholic high school in Baton Rouge. That is where the superlatives end.

They have an extremely high rate of students in summer school; more than any other local school. They take pride in failing students. SMHS's handbook includes archaic, biased hair grooming rules. They do not have diversity in leadership or in the classroom. In 2019, during Louisiana's race for governor there were many teachers who openly supported Mr. Rispone and used class time to discuss.Bumper stickers on employees cars was prevalent. My children would not attend SMHS once they graduate 8th grade.

I have a senior at SMHS. Great school. She will graduate with her first semester of college done plus more. I have an 8th grader that’s will attend there too. After SJA pulled this shite I wouldn’t give them a cent.

Rispones kids and his grandkids attend SMHS. Are teachers not allowed to have a sit net of who they support politically?
