Of course he does. But it doesn’t matter. Due to US political structure compared to Chinese political structure, none of this matters in the long run. Global fuel dominance is something that will take a decade plus to accomplish, and the US population doesn’t have the wherewithal or stomach to tolerate. China knows that all they have to do is wait out the current administration. They’re playing the long game, and unlike the US, they have the capacity to do so.

No. More likely that snippets of his remarks were quite intentionally taken out of context, thus meant to be misleading. Just my take. And why wouldn’t a media outfit do that? They have plenty of customers standing by, ready, willing and able to slop it up. Just my take, an off the cuff one.

I actually welcome the disagreement and enjoy having such conversations.
In my opinion, I understand why we went into Iran and what our objectives are. But as I posted earlier, I don’t think Trump has enough time left in office to complete the objectives, and the American people won’t tolerate the short term pain and trust the Republicans enough to give them another 4-8 years to achieve the objectives, which will result in us seeing nothing but the short term pain.
