South Carolina - What is the story on the Tulsi billboards?

Passing through on my way to and from North Carolina over the 4th of July weekend and I saw them at several places along I-77, I-26 and I-95. Who is bankrolling her?

I doubt billboards are that expensive. SC has a large military population and she needs a jump start bad.

Yeah, that is her catch phrase for SC. All of them were exactly the same (I would say I saw around twenty total). I found it interesting that she is starting a focused, apparently low tech, campaign there this early.

Tulsi has no support base here. The SC Democratic Party is controlled by black leadership, who have thrown their weight behind Joe Biden, which speaks volumes about their integrity.

I think she's using her own funds. She probably sees SC as a state where she can have some success with veterans because of her status as a vet and her non-interventionist foreign policy (which I like). Unfortunately, this state's veterans are, by and large, not going to vote for a Democrat or a non-interventionist. We have Lindsey Graham as a Senator and had Neocon Nikki as Governor. I don't think she stands a chance against Biden here.

Biden's leaking oil worse than a 1957 Chevy, and we're almost 7 month's away from the first primary/caucus. By the time they get to South Carolina Biden could be DOA.
Not saying Tulsi Gabbard will take up the slack, but Biden's toast.

She claims to be serving currently as a major, which is highly irregular as officers are supposed to stay out of politics

She’s trying hard to appeal to the massive veteran population here.
It’s not going to work because very few democrats are veterans here, a very small percentage.
She would do better hanging a billboard or two up in Orangeburg and Sumter counties claiming she blows black dudes for a nickel.
