Prosecutor Elections Now a Front Line in the Justice Wars

quote:

Wealthy donors are spending millions of dollars to back would-be prosecutors who want to reduce incarceration, crack down on police misconduct and revamp a bail system they contend unfairly imprisons poor people before trial.

The effort is part of a years-long campaign by liberal groups to reshape the nation’s criminal justice system. New York billionaire George Soros headlines a consortium of private funders, the ACLU and other social justice groups and Democratic activists targeting four of the 56 district attorney positions up for election on June 5. Five other California candidates are receiving lesser support.

quote:

For years, district attorney “races tended to focus on character issues rather than policies.... So it's really quite a change," said Stanford Law Professor David Sklansky, a former federal prosecutor.

In San Diego County, the groups back a deputy public defender who spent her legal career trying to keep the accused out of jail, not lock them up. In Sacramento and Alameda counties, they finance candidates taking on entrenched incumbents. And in Contra Costa County, they support a former judge appointed as district attorney last year who faces an election challenge from a career prosecutor.

quote:

Soros, whose spending as of this week in California topped $2.7 million, is the most visible part of the national movement to sway county prosecutor races. Since 2014, he has spent more than $16 million in 17 county races in other states. His favored candidates won in 13.

Win by any means necessary. Destroy the fabric of America, one strand at a time. Soros needs an early morning drone visit.

There was an area Judge race around my hometown in Arkansas that had a total out of left field candidate (black woman) who had barely any legal experience run against a very established, conservative white male judge in March.

I was told that she had "big donors" behind her for what would have been a multi County territory.

She eventually lost pretty bigly (the white guy actually had a black Sheriff throw his support behind him) and he won by a pretty large margin. The area is also very very very Red (Trump won like 70% of the vote).

She had no chance, but to this day I believe she was a Soros group-backed candidate that they were probably priming for bigger races down the line.

Thats the path now, following the Obama ascent - - no experience, win a small state race, run for a national Congressional office in a very blue area, then you're on the big stage.

Which part? The massive increase in property crime?
The surge in public drug use and human shite everywhere? Or the little problem of people being let out of jail for free who go and commit more, sometimes WORSE crimes, while waiting for their court date they don't plan on attending?
Police misconduct in this particular context means them arresting people instead of looking the other way. Buuuuut, you knew that.

My question has always been... Why is George Soros allowed to stay in the U.S. and his assets not frozen?

He is universally loathed and blackballed from other countries. His supporters only follow him because he pays them.

I think he has so many senators, Congressman and Intel people in his pocket, that even IF they were going after him, he would know about it. But they need to do something, the guy is a plague by himself.

The ACLU & the SPLC are both terrorist organizations today and the best thing for our country would be for the President to formally charge these cults as one and all their members as terrorist.

Tell that to the family of the 90 year old lady that was assaulted in New York City.

Did you miss the part where he spent $16M on 17 DA races and his supported Prog candidates won 13 of those races?

This x 10,000! He's a known Nazi collaborator and should be stripped of his citizenship and deported; we've done it to others, why not him?
