depends on the country

if you can manufacture goods at a better rate than the US then you still have cheaper domestic options.

But we buy foreign manufactured good specifically because labor is cheaper elsewhere.

The same thing that happens when other countries do it to us?

This is such an elementary argument.

The prices of domestic goods and services will also rise.

Same premise. Overstatement.

I find your obstinance regarding untaxed trade gaps fascinating.
Do you hold similar opinions about billionaires' overseas tax-free ""philanthropies""?

Trade gaps are a MAGA concern based on 1800s economics. Our economy evolved.

He's sending Canada a message. It's the same pecking-order message a father might send his teenage son when the kid gets too big for his britches. Canada will get that message, or the means of conveyance will change.

It's quite simplistic to reference that message as a "troll".

You libtards are such PUSSIES.

You ackin like Trump doesn't know what he's doing. Are you capable of learning???

And yes, fig, there may very well be some short term pain for American consumers, but we can hold out a helluva lot longer than just about any country can in these "stalemates".

Trump WILL dictate and get terms that are favorable to us. Settle down Dorothy.

If so, that would be wrongheaded. I personally believe Trump understands the difference between gold standard and fiat-based economies. You don't?

Regardless, trade deficits transfer untaxed wealth overseas while budget deficits accrue here. That is 21st century fact, not 19th century economics.

Wealth is no longer static, and hasnt been for decades.

Its created. Sometimes by importing things and adding value.

Same. Less choice, less innovation, higher cost.

BYD just became the biggest selling EV mfg in the world, and they dont sell to the USA.

But they do everywhere else, and are dominating the markets. They can thank Tesla for the competitive push as Tesla has plants in China and the competition created a high quality product..

Its mind blowing how many "conservatives" literally forgot the conservative principles they once supported (excellence, innovation)

They got the message. Want to guess what Canada did to avoid those tariffs? Has nothing to do with your silly talking point of 1800 economics (what ever the hell that is supposed to be) or “wealth being static” or “Austrian economics”. You post those points over and over. Bring some new crap man.
