I actually thought Trump was relatively restrained in his initial responses to Elon’s criticism of the BBB. After the Epstein accusation, it was obvious that Elon was attempting to goad Trump into a full-fledged social media war. Yet again, Trump has no one to blame but his own team for the persistence of the rumors that DJT is in someway complicit in the Epstein saga.

I choose the side that thinks debt is a problem, that we can't just "grow our way out" of the problem. I choose the side that is conservative. I choose Elon.
Trump is not a conservative. Trump doesn't seem to care about America or the growth of the federal/central gov. Trump seems to be a liberal in populist clothing. Don't agree...explain his get rid of the debt ceiling. Explain his now opposition to DOGE. Explain his move to support central government seizing property, Space-X, assets and his use of the central state to attack people over petty personal insults.
Elon is far from what I want, a lot of problem with tech bros and tech utopians. But Trump was supposed to be a different game than the progs.
Increasingly, MAGA seems like the other side of the same coin that Progs occupy. Screw them both, progs and MAGA. I want a small government connotational republic that is conservative in tone and policy but not reactionary.
