I just think it all comes down to the economy. If things are going well, Dems are in big trouble. If not, MAGA will get all the blame and we're getting a Dem president.

Their message will be: "(Insert Republican Candidate) is a NAZI and wants to force women to have babies"

If they are smart they will pick a moderate like Shapiro and pitch a "return to stability" type of message

But I doubt they are smart, they will go with some flamethrower hard lib and lose badly

Great question. There's always the possibility that the wokesters who vote in the Democrat Party will nominate another virtue-signaling woke joke, but my concern is that they will nominate a candidate who will falsely portray himself/herself as a "moderate."

Gavin Newsom is already showing us that he intends to do just that. I call it the "Obama Steategy," because it's exactly what that America-hating race-baiting community AGITATOR did.

We aren't killing enough babies. If we are going to take climate change seriously, we have to triple the number of babies we cut up or chemically kill. We can do it. Donate to my campaign to make it happen.

Newsweek
I think a lot of people on the board believe Trump’s popularity is higher than it really is. It’s not like he has 50% or above approval rating. We live in MAGA country so it’s easy to think the rest of the country feels the same.

Every state in the SEC approval rating for Trump is above 50% except for Texas and Georgia. Texas is at 49% approval to 48% disapproval rating, Georgia is at 44% approval to 52% disapproval, and South Carolina has dropped to 50% approval to 46% disapproval.

States that Trump won in 2024 election, but his approval rating has dropped.

Wisconsin 51% to 47% disapproval rating
Pennsylvania 50% to 47% disapproval
North Carolina 49% to 48% disapproval
Nevada 52% to 45% disapproval
Michigan 50% to 44% disapproval
Georgia 52% to 44% disapproval

Texas 49% to 48% approval rating
Won Texas by 13.5%
South Carolina 50% to 46% approval
Won South Carolina 18%
Ohio 49% to 47% approval rating
Won Ohio by 11%
Iowa 50% to 47% approval
Won Iowa by 13%
Alaska 50% to 46%
Won Alaska by 13%

Tie
Arizona 48% to 48% tie
Won Arizona by 5.5%

Some of polls Newsweek used are over a week old. The trend in all polls has shown his approval rating going down especially in the battleground states.

You arent looking at the entire picture.

The dems approval rating is in the fricking toilet, and trump isnt running again.

One thing is for certain right now. No one likes the democrats.

One thing I have said for over a year is it will be hard for Trump’s approval rating to fall below 43%. His base is really strong, but that doesn’t mean it will transfer to the next candidate. Democrats are going to get their 19 states + DC that add up to 225 points in the Electoral College. They only need a few states and they win the presidency.

Harris was a bad Democrat candidate going against a really strong Republican and still the election was settled by Penn, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Trump won the 3 states combined by less than 250,000 votes.
Wisc 29,000 votes
Michigan 80,000 votes
Penns 120,000

It would be really hard for him to carry those states if the election was today.

No it wouldn't.

If it would, the fricking voting population is too fricking wishy washy to ever allow anything to get done and we are doomed anyway.

have a fricking president that is incoherent for 4 fricking years and people would want to go back to that party after 6 months

If that IS the case, I've got mine and good luck to the rest of you.
