Is it a double standard? Sure, but I’m not going to spend much time lamenting the death of a mentally unstable woman who was in the process of committing a grievous federal crime.

She was an Air Force veteran. What would she expect to happen if she had been part of a mob breaking into an Air Force base by force? Would she have been shocked if those intruders had been repelled with deadly force? She, of all people, should have known better.

She was entering a barricaded door, in the capitol building with a gun pointed in her general direction. Not exactly a smart move.

Its not like the officers went out and hunted her down.
They had separated themselves from the rioters and barricaded themselves to either protect themselves or others in a hall.
The rioters kept advancing and removing the separation and safety that they had and you are surprised someone got shot as they continued to advance?

Well, I'm not a hypocrit. I think every one of them should have been repelled with deadly force by the SS, just as I thought the guy who jumped the fence at the White House a few years ago should have been taken out by a sniper before he got in the door, down the hall, to the foot of the steps leading up the residence.
