So we should force the sale of Social Media who work with governments to manipulate info?

It's a dangerous threat to national security when a social media company has close ties to or is flat out working at the directive of a government to censor/manipulate information.

Newsflash Trump is being opportunistic and trying to snag some votes by doing this by being the I’ll save Tik Tok candidate.
As an actual information security professional who has never changed my position on this. I was so happy when Trump as pushing it. Happy now.
You cannot let a hostile foreign nation who is actively engaged in cyber warfare with us have an opium addiction platform pumping our population full of brain melting bullshite. An entire generation is literally brain dead because of this monster.
Sure Facebook and the like are very problematic as well and are used domestically for propaganda. However that doesn’t mean we leave the door wide open for China to fan the flame.
The sooner we get this disease of a platform removed from our population. The better.
