So we need 18 Democrats to vote no on impeachment for it to fail, right?

How many have already come out against it? 4?
How many represent districts TRUMP won? About 30?
Are any GOP Reps going to vote for it?
It would be awesome to have it fail outright in the House.

Nancy is nervous as a nun in a cucumber patch right now.

I am in one of the 31 districts and when I called to express my displeasure with vote, I was told Lucy M will vote for impeachment. I told her office I being working today to be sure she is not reelected.

True.
But even if it's close, like 223-213 or so, it makes Praying Nancy look like a complete fool.

I think even if one Democrat votes against it, it will be seen as a failure. If there was a compelling case to remove Trump, it would be bipartisan. But the only thing that's bipartisan is the opposition to impeachment.
There were a handful of Democrats that voted to impeach Clinton. I don't see a single Republican voting to impeach Trump.

I would love for it to fail, but based on Mitch's and the POTUS' recent comments and how they are prepping, it appears that it will likely pass
I AM HOPING, however that some more defections from the Dems to the good side happen like with the Van Drew guy today.

I hope they all vote for it, honestly.

“I being working today”
Cool. Who you be working for?

I said the same to Colin Allred.

At this point, I think she knows she’s going to have to retire after the 2020 elections.

Nancy will loss the House after 2 years. Impressive

The problem is the DNC will abandon anyone who votes no.

Also, Pelosi determines committee appointment/placement and can make them so impotent along those lines that they barely have anything to go back home and tout in a reelection campaign. That's the quick and not-exactly-educated-on-the-issue version from me, but I do know that's a thing. The SOTH can defang members of her caucus and hurt 'em bad in doing so.
Put them on the Boat Anchors Committee and the Inflatable Raft Committee and Gum Tree Committee, and call it a day.

It's up to 6 dems voting against it
“This is dividing the country for no good reason, because he’s not going to be thrown out of office,” Peterson said of his colleagues’ impeachment effort, before asking: “Why are we doing this?”
“If people don’t like Trump, they can vote against him,” he added.
Peterson’s comments came amid reports Rep. Jeff Van Drew (NJ), another moderate Democrat who opposes impeachment, is telling staff members that he plans to defect to the Republican Party.

A sanely administered majority D House could have gotten some good deals from this administration and that could certainly have been parlayed into votes back home - trade, infrastructure, job creation, etc.
Instead, they've spent two years wallowing in their own diarrhea. R's take the House back easily and Trump destroys any one of these bozo D candidates.

Agree to the very last letter.
There are of course a couple issues where they would have been at loggerheads, bit many many more where they would have found common ground.
And the Dems DID run on an issue based platform in the 2018 midterm campaign. But now they have to go back and convince their people that Constitutional duty intervened and trumped anything and everything else. On the strength of the case they presented to the country.
Better them than me. Doesn't sound like much fun.
