We need to be very careful where we send our kids to college, what courses they enroll in and the groups/clubs they join. They're being indoctrinated at rapid rate by the radical left.

Utah is red but its a different breed of red.
There is a reason weak politicians like Mitt Romney come from Utah and how Evan McMullin was able to gain traction there.

Stick with me ... I posted yesterday how this was a (good) pivotal moment for my daughter. She called me in tears over Charlies death after texting earlier -- (I would never have thought she knew of him). I have been concerned about her, at college. She has ALWAYS been influenced by social media -TikTok crowd, etc. She was upset with the number of young people on social who were rejoicing at the murder of a spokesman of a movement; a husband and father. I felt this event helped her 'turn the corner' and I am grateful for the good which comes from this tragedy... in any form.
Back to your post - the above is my story of a daughter at a liberal school less than 1 hour away, studying to become a teacher. The indoctrination of our young people by the left in these institutions must be reviewed and eradicated, legally. Each of these cretin instructors/ professors/ TA's should be held accountable for teachings outside their assigned subjects. Like the trans example in Texas [during early childhood development IIRC], they have become emboldened in their methods. Stop them, put them on notice, force a review and terminate each one responsible for pushing this agenda to their class.
And while doing it, force a review of the funding, where has it been coming from; these are often organized groups providing material, time and resources. Track it back to the source and make it publicly known.

I have a really bright 18 year old, and I have no idea where she should go to college. I also don’t know that I have a right to tell her where to go.

This is why Charlie’s death is so devastating. He was almost single handedly fighting academia for the minds of college kids.
Academia, like media, is chock full of trash wokesters at all levels. Academia is feminized and woke. I don’t know how to really root it out, unless legions of Conservatives decide to enter the teaching profession at least on the high school and college level.

It starts even earlier at the high school level. There is no magic bullet to fix it when it happens because many people on the left embrace their politics as a part of their identity.
And that's a very difficult mindset to change.

I strongly recommend reading this book. Allan Bloom had all of this figured out back then, and he gives the intellectual antecedents to woke in very entertaining prose. His chapter on music is especially poignant. You will be better for having read this book.

He had a 4.0 GPA and a 34 on his ACT. It is terrifying that the kid grew up in a seemingly normal environment and was still able to be radicalized once he left for college
