So the company I work for has decided to mandate the vaccine for employees...also..

I've been with them for 15 years. Covid forced my position to work from home. Working from home is now permenant for my role.
Last week company wide email says "if you want to enter any of our offices you must be vaccinated by 9/15. Ok, no biggie I work from home and have zero need to go into an office.
A week later an addendum comes out to the original email. "All employees, regardless of work from home status, must be vaccinated by 9/15."
This is a privately owned company that employs more than 50,000 people and revenue exceeds 20 billion yearly.
I'm dumbfounded.

It may be insurance demands. And when Uncle Sam says jump, insurance companies ask how high.

Our company is seeing vaccine mandates every day from our customers...we're averaging receiving about 2 a day right now.

It’s definitely your insurance.
I’m friends with an HR guy who has said BC/BS specifically has requested plans for vaccination pushes from all employers. They are starting to get around to denying some and requiring full vaccination.

This has become a real problem for HR Directors. Large swaths of people quitting at once. A reminder to those that refuse - don't quit, make them fire you. Hold out as long as you can.

Once the lawsuits start coming, I honestly believe we’re going to find out that certain forces both within and outside of the government are pressuring these companies to force the vaccine, or subject their employees to being fired. That’s when the shite is really going to hit the fan.

That's absolutely my plan. I will not be coerced. I will not get it until either I decide of my own accord. Or they force me, I want, in writing, them to directly say "get the vaccine or you're fired." Then I'll get it.
