So it turns out that Steven Crowder really is a piece of sh*t

I know. Welcome to two months ago, but I was deployed when this story broke about Crowder's divorce from his wife so this is the first I'm hearing about it. It turns out that you can judge a man by how he treats his friends (in this case The Daily Wire's Jeremy Boering). When that story broke early this year concerning Boering's courting of him to the Daily Wire, it caused a lot of conservatives to pick sides. I chose to fall on the Daily Wire's side because it says a lot about someone who would use a friendship to publicly release a secretly recorded phone call with said friend.
Turns out, that's par for the course for a guy like Crowder who is not afraid to stoop so low as to emotionally abuse his pregnant (now ex) wife in what he assumed was a private moment. Now his ex-wife is fighting to get records unsealed and out into the open while Crowder is trying to keep them sealed (even though he told his fans publicly that HE is the one trying to unseal them).
It really is a shame because I was a big fan of Crowder.

He was a dick in that video, but I also don't like totally judging the guy by a few minutes of a couples' argument when you don't know all the circumstances. She might be an angel, but she also might be a manipulative narcissist.

Is it possible that he's the one in the marriage that has been abused and mistreated and he's just finally had his fill?
I used to never entertain such a possibility but my experiences in the military taught me otherwise.

I can see where Crowder would be a difficult person to live with, but I'm sure there's more context that we're not hearing and media sources have an interest in destroying the Crowder brand.
None of that means Crowder doesn't deserve a lot of criticism. I did find it weird that someone with his money has 1 car and was very controlling over his wife to the degree that he was. (She had to ask to use the car while pregnant? Is she going to cheat while pregnant at Walmart or the grocery store?)
I'm sure it has to do with separating his marriage from the typical secular marriage behaviors but to an unliveable and abnormal degree. It seems more insecure than anything. You can't trust your pregnant wife to use the car when she wants to go where she wants? Why the hell did you marry her,
Just a sad situation all around and Crowder is set to pay dearly for his mistakes. At some point he's going to have to humble himself and do whatever he can to make amends and salvage the opportunity to have a good relationship with his kids and his to be ex.
Just sad to watch marriages/families go up in flames, even if you think someone in it deserves it. The kids will need their father no matter how much of a piece of shite you believe he is.
My conclusion:
Crowder is not completely the bad guy, he's just easier to target because his bad behavior is on full display due to his natural personality.
Women have a completely different mode of operation for their bad behavior. It usually occurs covertly and in more private low-key times.
Men will bash through the door and beat you up while screaming at you. Very easy to recognize behaviors.
Women will slowly poison you over months, constantly gaslight you in private moments over years and the feign shock if you question their behavior. They're more manipulative/secretive when they're at work.
Male behaviors are just easier to target when putting a relationship on film. They stand out more.

Maybe, but that’s not how the conversation would go (the recorded verbal fight) for a man who was abused or manipulated by his wife. There would be more recounting of past abuse and much less petty power-play bs.

Yes there was a massive thread where this was talked about at length.

I tend to agree. It's definitely possible for the woman to be he "bad guy" in the relationship. But in this case, who was recording whom? Seems like she knew he would go on a rant because it's the norm for him.

It's difficult for me to believe that the pregnant wife is the bad guy in this situation, especially when Crowder is recorded saying things like: "I will frick you up" and "I don't love you."

In that one video, yes, but what preceded those events? What was life like in the days/years before that moment? Crowder hasn't been able to provide any explanations and the only thing we've got is this short video, which is an even smaller piece of the puzzle given the length of their marriage.
Was Crowder hyper controlling all the time? Or just during pregnancy? Was there a previous situation that made him think this single car/permission based arrangement was necessary/best?

Dave Landau also didn't have good things to say about him following his abrupt exit from the show. I like Crowders show, frequently listen but there's been 3 behind the scenes instances where he looks like a real dick.

Crowder has always given off Prima Donna vibes like your typical "creative" (meant more of a personal mindset than actual product). Same narcissistic behavior he displayed with the DW contract stuff. No reason to think he wouldn't act similarly in his marriage.
IIRC he was having a melt over the protein he had to cook or something

Repeat this out loud and think about how it sounds

I really don't care what preceded those events. You don't talk to your eight-month-pregnant wife like that.

If I was going through a divorce and my soon to be ex-wife was pregnant and arguing with me, I believe I would tend to the melty side.

I'm surprised he's straight. Dude gives off a lot of gay vibes.

Sounds fine. Do you have an actual objection?
Can you not figure out what I'm trying to say?
WAS THERE A SITUATION THAT CAME UP IN THE PAST THAT PROMPTED THE DECISION BY THE CROWDER FAMILY THEIR VEHICLE OWNERSHIP BE REDUCED TO A COUNT OF 1? DID THAT SITUATION ALSO INCLUDE THE STIPULATION THAT THE SPOUSE USING THE VEHICLE CONSULT/ASK PERMISSION FROM THE OTHER PARTY TO USE THE VEHICLE?
-We know there was 1 car.
-We know Crowder was preventing her from using it when she asked.

Did I claim it was totally justified? I'm saying hold your tongue without complete context.
They were married for 10 years and you've seen a video of less than an hour. Does that sum up the entirety of their relationship?
Does anyone care how Crowder or their relationship got to that point we saw on video? What preceded that moment?

I never disliked Crowder and watched his videos occasionally on YT. I find him generally long winded and boring.

Knowing their financial status, nothing reasonable seems to justify this.

If you listen to the conversation, this was not a 2-way street.
