Bush era Neocons kinetic war in Iraq lasted 21 days. When then proceeded to spend 10 years and infinite amounts of money to rebuild. Switching out weapons of mass destruction & National Security for Narco Terrorism & National Security you can to some degree see the path were heading down.
Everyone backed Iraq because of 9/11 regardless of if said intelligence were true. We have no 9/11 here to support this.
We have a bigger argument to chase Fent in Mexico/China than little ole Venezuela (which also happens to have a large stash of oil LOL).

I think Roger has sort of made this point, but I've seen some analysis the MIC has given up on Ukraine, they are not quite insane enough to go directly at China yet, so it's pick on some weaklings like Maduro for the time being. I wonder if Jr. is getting kickbacks on this:
