I’m unjabbed and tested positive yesterday morning. Took an at home test bc I felt a little off. I was in close contact with a bunch of vaxed and boosted people who all felt like shite and now have it. I’ve spent the past 2 days working outside. Strange how this thing works

My niece was fine after initial vax...for a long-time going to school.
Got the boosters, kitchen sink all of them...and then got Covid a while later, high fever lung cough. 15 years old and a slim cross-country runner.

I just had another friend test positive around lunch today. She is double vaxxed but no booster.

Seems like the more people get multiple vaxes and are supposedly immune, the more susceptible they are to Covid.

Y’all really are a weird bunch. I 100% agree that the mandates are bullshite. I would fight with you to the end so that you don’t have to get vaxxed.
But this weird obsession with the vaccinated having some long term medical problem is disturbing. Just take a step back and realize what you would say if you went over to Democratic Underground and saw a bunch of threads saying that “unvaxxed people are all going to die when the next mutation comes”

Your post is half truth and half bullshite.
Truth: People who are vaccinated are catching Omicron a lot.
False: They are still not catching it as much as people who are not vaccinated and have no natural immunity.
False: They are not "very sick". They have a mild flu-like sickness. In fact, the symptoms in those who were vaccinated are less than in those who were neither vaccinated nor have natural immunity (a decreasingly small cohort at this point.)

But I may have gotten it already. The old vaccines clearly aren't working against this variant and that's about as accepted as the fact that this variant is milder than pervious ones.

And I will point out that their vaccination strategy worked out well for them because they avoided covid until it became more contagious and less deadly. Also, their immune system had a blueprint with which to deal with it.
That's not the strategy I took - which as live my best life, get covid, slough it off and move on - but it worked for them.
