It can only be done on the uneven bars.

How quickly these asshats forget that a good guy with a gun ended the rampage at the Texas Church a few months back.

so it turns out a good guy with a gun was there, with sheriff’s dept training no teacher will ever have, and he didn’t stop the bad guy with a gun

No, some guy with a gun was there. This was not a good guy with a gun.

I think it's a valid point. Who knows what was going through the security officer's head, but it's the age old fight or flight dilemma. Lots of people will fight, many with flight. He appears to have chosen flight for unknown reasons. And nobody really knows how they would react the first time they face a situation like that. I'd like to say I'd go in and try to save people, but honestly have idea how I'd react. But it is especially disturbing when someone that is actually trained in that area to fail so badly.

And that highlights one of the problems with the idea of arming teachers.

What weapon did he use, was it a weapon of mass murder?

To bad the brave coach wasn’t armed.

Agreed but think about this.

Too bad the cowardly SRO didn't come in and perhaps distract the psycho with the gun long enough for the brave coach to chokeslam him into the concrete floor and pounding his head into it until blood came out of his ears.

Because he was a coward this is just wishful thinking.

There are 10s of millions of AR-15s out there, and apparently cops that won't attempt to stop a crazy with one, but the left wants us to defend ourselves with shotguns or sticks?

He's a policeman... he's not really allowed to choose flight, is he?

If a guy breaks into your house at night and he has a gun, would you rather be armed or disarmed?

Well no, but he did. And lots of other people would, including teachers.

And that sucks. Seems like they could fire him with cause and not allow him to get one nickle of his pension. Or at the very least, be subject to many civil lawsuits wherein the families of the deceased, like the coach, get his pension.

So, the answer is to insure that NOBODY is in a position to even be able to make that choice?

Where did I say that? I said nobody can predict how anyone would react the first time they're faced with a similar situation.

his is horrific. “In November, a tipster called BSO to say Cruz ‘could be a school shooter in the making’ but deputies did not write up a report on that warning. It came just weeks after a relative called urging BSO to seize his weapons.” LINK

— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) February 23, 2018

More: ”Two years ago, according to a newly released timeline of interactions with Cruz’s family, a deputy investigated a report that Cruz ‘planned to shoot up the school’ – intelligence that was forwarded to the school’s resource officer, with no apparent result.” LINK

— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) February 23, 2018

A real shame none of this came out before last night's televised town hall featuring the sheriff, isn't it? LINK
