It goes to the bigger problem in America right now, namely media outlets that support political sports team X searching far and wide for a colorful example of something objectionable that a fan of political sports team Y has said or done. Then then run a story about this person thaneither explicitly or implicitly has the connotation of “look how off the rails political sports team Y is!” They do this over and over to the point where the fans of political sports team X thinks there’s a major trend in America of out of control fans of political sports team Y, and vice versa.
It’s bad for America.

Yeah it’s in poor taste. I think we can just say it was in poor taste and move along. The vitriol is way above and beyond the level of the crime here. That’s the entire point of what I am saying.

I haven’t followed the maga hats story at all bc from the get go it was obvious to me that it was an appeal to emotion by the left wing media and not at all related to real issues in the country right now. All I know is there was some kids wearing maga hats who may or may not have been shitty. I don’t care about them one way or another.
