Did you know that prior to COVID there were 17 million SNAP recipients and there are now 42 million?
Did you know anyone can easily look this up and see you're full of shite?

There are work requirements and income limits and benefit caps based on household size. This shouldn't be new information to you.

Actually no, I was thinking it was part of welfare where they get to sit on that arse and get free shite

Hopefully you realize that the working poor you’re talking about are primarily part-time workers who make sure they stay under the threshold to keep their taxpayer assistance. Most also turned down full-time opportunities and promotions to stay under the threshold. I can’t tell you how many yearly evaluations I did on these people and two days later they would come back to me and tell me that they had to cut two hours out of their part time Employment

Remember its liberal dems who work for the govts, fed and local, who "qualify" these people.
I understand its a common practice to have an unemployed relative take legal responsibility for the children of several and collect all the benefits entailed. With a wink and a nod they are enrolled. Not just snap but all the other social programs as well.

Post definitive links to support your argument. Otherwise, you have none, except just continuing to be a vapid lib lackey with TDS that never backs up anything with factual and citable information.
And, while you did post a graph regarding SNAP recipients, it just shows that there are more folks on the program now after COVID. Can you read a graph before thinking it is a 'gotcha'? Still waiting on the percentage of SNAP recipients that are working - you have a nice graph or figure for this info?

You forgot about the monthly drug test. Test every month and lose benefits for life if popped positive for anything other than MJ.

You've taken a crutch(SNAP), that's to help poor people get back on their feet and find a better job, into becoming a 24/7/365 lifestyle. There is no incentive to better themselves.
SNAP should be limited in time just like with unemployment compensation. Maximum of 6 months then no more benefits.

Like others have mentioned, one of the big issues is when they make just enough not to receive the SNAP benefits.
I remember back when I was first starting out with my little family, we qualified for SNAP and it really helped up, but it was never our intention to stay on SNAP. I did everything legit and did not try to cheat the system. I cannot remember if they lowered the snap benefits or if I just lost them at some point. But at that cutoff point was harder but we budgeted and made it work as my income increased the issues started to disappear.
We were nervous about making the jump with a small family at the time, but we knew we did not want to be on assistance forever.
I feel bad for the people that are using the Benefits and Assistance like they are ment to used.

As I've said, if there is one group that republicans hate, it's the working poor.
I love how Dems paint Republicans as rich fat cats when trying to appeal to the working class and can turn around without detecting any irony whatsoever and disparage them as a bunch of uneducated hillbillies when trying to claim intellectual dominance on a policy issue.

This. You should have to do this every year.

It’s strange that we’re seeing lots of videos made by shoplifters or people supporting shoplifting but none of those folks make videos of going to charity food pantries/banks and receiving food.
Where I live, the food banks and churches have gone into overdrive asking for donations and getting the word out that food is available there. Walmart is not the only option for food. Teaching their kids that stealing is preferable to accepting charity…sad.

These aren't "my people"
I don't know anyone on SNAP. But I think we need to have honest discussions around here. Idiots thinking that people need to have flip phones to qualify for assistance. wtf is that nonsense?

If so then list off that qualifications and means testing you feel should be mandatory for SNAP
