Lots of farmers will have to ditch their products to rot as they won't be able to get them to market. The fun is only beginning.

You mean the way the IRS controls every single American company??? or in some other way?
Nice attempt at a deflection. I am correct and you know it.
The irony is that you are chastising someone for merely suggesting nationalizing a company in the USA, while you simultaneously defend China.
I would say it is unbelievable, but we have seen you defend China in countless other posts.
Sadly, it is what the board(s) expect(s) from you.

How much does the CCP pay you for each post?

No I do not.
Explain to me just what you mean.
I am not defending China at all. Why when I state facts about China that you people do not believe do you think I am defending China?
Point to a SINGLE post I have defended China. There are a lot of post like yours where I have simply posted facts that dispel the statements of posters but that does not make me a defender of China. It simply makes me a defender of the truth you do not want to hear.

So the OP is about the USA being without 5% of it's domestic pork production and almost every poster is happy because the domestic plant employing Americans shutting down is owned by a Chinese company.
How twisted are you people?
(Oh BTW--pork production is now mostly integrated like chicken production so the pigs destined for this plant are on farms and are also owned by Smithfield. Their other plants will have to ramp up quickly but in the meantime Smithfield has a LOT of live hogs they have to do something with.)

I don't understand. I went to the store and there was bacon.
If there is demand and SF doesn't want to fill it then I am sure some American company will fill the void.
Sounds like their plan is backfiring.

So; the Chinese stopped eating?
Posted on 4/12/20 at 6:00 pm to omegaman66
Oh I suspect pricing will handle the supply issue unless Trump tries to intervene and force GM to produce pork or something like that.
Some here seem to want him to do something like that.

No they aren't owned by Smithfield even if they were are you suggesting Smithfield wouldn't sell to Seaboard you fricking idiot?

So what is the problem? What is your point? Is the American government seizing their property? They have half their plant catch the China Virus. Of course they had to shut down.
