The hogs will still be raised and slaughtered here, but the carcasses shipped to China to be cut up and packaged for sale there before being sent back here.

That doesn't even make any damn sense. Seems like it would cost far more to ship them back and forth than it would to just process them here.

You would be shocked how many inefficient trips are made across the pacific during the production of pretty much everything across all industries. You are underestimating how cheap it is to do things over there when you have no OSHA equivalent with any teeth and you can pay the labor pennies on the dollar.

If we as a society spend less on the case of beer you mention are we not free to spend more on higher value products? A dime a case more on ventilators or super computers or air conditioning

All are pretty much from China so...I and many like me would prefer to buy something not made in China...even if it costs more. Now, more than ever.

Your store sucks. I mean, every store here has eggs. large or small stores all have them now.

My God, do you even understand that previous policy was that the US would only trade with countries that honored the principles of the free market.

Giving China Most Favored Nation was a gift to a totalitarian regime.

How dare you call this a road to serfdom in your attempt to defend a country devoted to keeping its people as serfs.

You are straight defending and in support of the most evil country the world has ever seen.

The Soviet Union as an evil empire has been surpassed ten to one hundred fold by China.

Are you a registered foreign agent, how much are you being paid to do this.

Didn't you just say this plant was essentially essential for the survival of America's food chain??

seems like what the DPA was made for.

None of those links say pork is being shipped to China and then being processed and shipped back to America.

Trump has bragged several times about the export of pork to China.

If anyone wants to know how fricked our economy is, imagine our largest pork plants being owned by Chinese Communists & filled to the brim with illegal Mexicans.

Globalism at it's finest.

Jimmy Carter with the "temporary" status, Bill Clinton for the "permanent" status.

I credit every other President from Nixon to Obama with the assists.
