Small Town Black Funeral

I met a really long funeral procession on a four lane highway in a small Louisiana town today. I knew it was a black funeral from a long way off because of the unique hearse. Everyone of us in the opposite lanes pulled to a stop and waited for them to pass. Everyone! No one showed any disrespect. The third car was family I am sure. The driver raised his hand to each car he passed as an acknowledgement I suppose of our respect for them.
That's the real world we live in. It's how life really is in the South. It's not whats portrayed by CNN and MSNBC It's not the Antifa/BLM crap of the big northern cities. There's no radical racism in this town. We have lived in relative peace for a generation now and longer.
The Democrats and the MSM insist we live in a different world. They are burning America to the ground with their race-mongering.

People get along mostly, the exception being, when riled up by those with a vested interest in keeping them from doing so.

So true. I've gotten two 6 figure job offers in DC in the last few months and I'm not taking either job. If I move I will move elsewhere in the deep south or Texas. And, yes, I'm Black.

It's called divide and conquer. They will divide us against each other through any means they can. Race, gender, class and anything else they can think of to divide the American people. If the day ever comes where enough of the American people wake the hell up and realize what has been going on for decades it will be the end of the deep state, the left and the uni party idiots and there is nothing they will be able to do to stop their downfall. If you have never been to a black persons funeral, I highly recommend it. Some of the most beautiful singing and praising of the lord you will ever witness.

I always love when the White Southerners make these comments, while in another thread, they called black people coons, and make comments about work boots and the such.
NO One buys the bullshite, the majority of the racist shite on here is from 100% Southerners. Not Northerners.

I've made that point over and over here. Yes, it's bad in places like Atlanta and pretty much any metro run by dems, because they live to stir that shite up. Get away from those and people get along pretty well regardless of skin color.
As an aside, the biggest racial shock of my life came when I went to Atlanta for school. Most interactions you had with black people up there (not including campus) involved open or thinly veiled animosity, and this was back in the 80s. It was wildy different than my experience in "backwards" NW Florida where we all got along.

I noticed that 30 yrs ago while traveling to cities up east. Yet they have the perception that we are still living in segregated social structure and hurling slurs back and forth as the norm...
I have not heard a racial slur uttered at anyone in over 30 yrs and I rarely hear one in any private conversations.

What I hate about the media and Hollywood is that all you see about Southern stories is that it's all full of racism. And it's just not true.
People like my liberal sister in a northern state assumes all of Alabama is nothing but racists, because that's what she sees on the TV. She hasn't been to this state in 20 years.

We have more open dialog on this board than you could get almost anywhere else.
From what I have seen in my many years lurking and then posting is that when you get an arse that crosses the line and actually insinuates racism and not hyperbole, they get called out by the members and the admin. They can also get banned. This board is truly one of the last bastions of open dialog on the Webs....That I know of anyway.
I remember when we had comedians who were not afraid to use certain words in their jokes. It was true comedy and no one was protected.
I don't think those comedians were racist nor are most of the people here in the way you are accusing.
Hell, I was able to DVR the uncut version of Blazing Saddles this week. Frickn hilarious and all races are made fun of and it is NOT a racist movie in an negative or evil sense.
