The point is that the EU is forcing it. UK got out, in part to be self-determinate on immigration. Ireland doesn’t have that option.

Celts have been a declining race ever since the Roman Empire. Less than one million people, total can speak any of the Celtic languages-- Irish, Scots Gaelic, Manx, Cornish, Welsh or Breton. The era of Robert The Bruce and William Wallace is in the distant past, much less Cu Chulainn.
