The confederate statues are one thing but removing names from building (which I believ is already happening on college campuses), street signs, possible re naming states wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where we are going here in the US

Not to mention I think UCLA, Harvard and other universities people of color wanting to do a separate graduation. That’s ridiculous.

The left has a foothold with the white bleeding liberals and apologists so it’s here to stay because they allowed them an inch.

This. And it started decades ago in the school system.

Leftism is a despicable, nasty disease.

Mauritania still has slavery in 2018. But since they are "culcha" nation, the left doesn't care. Same with Kuwait with their quasi-slavery of Filipinos.

As long as you aren't white, it's okay.

For most of mankind, the choice for the victors in a skirmish, battle, or war was this-slavery or slaughter.

Granted, chattel slavery added economic incentives to the victors-- sell the defeated to others. But the other option was still death.

In the case of black Americans, if slavery destroyed their sense of family, how does one account for the health of intact black families up until 1960?

There's a distinction between tearing down things built by "bad" people and tearing down things built to celebrate "bad" people. There's a further distinction between those things built at the time the celebrate "bad" people (like the pyramids) but have lost all link to that in the public consciousness and those things that still very much have that connotation (pretty much any statue in a public square).

Now, that's not to say that any of those subsets should be destroyed. That's an utterly separate argument. However, lumping them all together isn't logical or reasonable.

There is one silver lining,
if you erase slavery from our memory there won't be anything to be guilty about nor to pay reparations over.

We can say colored people again? Plus, I've got a color. So, this is stupid.

Yes. I'm intelligent, carrying, loving, no-name-calling people.

I agree that it's stupid to take that historical stuff down.

I also hold the very very unpopular opinion that the descendants of the slaves are better of than the descendants of their captors who sold them to Europeans.

Without slavery they would be worse off. Crazy idea, but I see no refute.

Also the United States basically ended the 10,000 year history of slavery. Yet gets no credit for that.
All whites are blamed for slavery, yet it wasn't only a white thing. New Orleans had more black slave owners than Baton Rouge and Natchez had slave owners period. Also we get no credit that half a million whites died for their freedom from slavery.

Yet if you say any of that, you're considered a racist.

American liberals and middle eastern Isis just can't stand the fact that history contains shite that is different from what they currently believe in.

I would love to build a massive building in Antarctica..and force all American liberals and middle eastern Isis into it.

I understand what you are saying but I feel like there’s a big difference between ancient architectural achievements and statues (majority built in the 20th century) commemorating the confederacy/people.
