Typical.
Story telling drama - "hung my people until their eye bulged out"
Name calling - "f-ing idiot"
Race card when above does not work.
Same crap different day. Critical race theory and all race/gender study programs need to be booted. Bunch of soci-babble.
Edit note:
Forgot the threat part. "Thousands of letters if you don't act right..."

What's interesting is that the actors that played the Duke Boys were all "Yankees" John Schneider was from just outside of NYC, Wopat, I think was from Wisconsin or Michigan, Boss Hogg ( Sorrell Booke) was from New York, Daisy was from Ohio and Denver Pyle was from out west somewhere. Cooter was from Georgia ( Ben Jones was a long term Democrat Congressman) and Enos was also from Georgia .
The show was a good time, non serious show on Friday nights . It was not glorifying "Southern" racism. It was about some good ole boys never meanin' no harm running Uncle Jesse's moonshine and sometimes racin' and foiling Boss Hogg's ill thought out dastardly schemes and making Roscoe P. Coltrane look like the incompetent fool he was.
It was also waiting to get a look at Daisy....Catherine Bach is still pretty damned good looking.
It was total foolishness.....wish more TV today had that same level of non serious .

Yeah ... but idiots on here will tell you that moonshine is basically the same as crystal meth.

it was "yankees" influencing southern culture with degeneracy.
Southerners longed for a show about them that they didnt care and embraced it anyways.
kind of like libertarians and Ron Swanson. Ron Swanson was made to poke fun at libertarians initially.

Used to be my favorite show when I was a kid. My favorite toy was my toy General Lee car. I was disappointed when they stopped showing the reruns a couple years back because of the confederate flag.

Just in honor of this stupidity and hyper sensitivity.... how about a little Waylon?

I can't take credit for this quote - found this on another board -- thought it was relevant:
Jessica Lynn says: "For crying out loud. People are walking around America, with actual Isis flags. Go find and harass them, they actually murder people, TODAY- and non stop. This is pathetic."

that is the confederate battle flag.
there were 2 other national confederate flags, and you havent posted either

that is the confederate battle flag.
at best youre thinking of the battle flag of the army of northern Virginia. different armies used different flags. there is no "confederate battle flag".

there were 2 other national confederate flags...
quote:there were 3, and this is the 3rd, so whats your point?

Educated...? But not smart enough to know you can't go from vertical to horizontal while videoing...

Does she know? The Chinese are painting Confederate Battle Flags on 50 dollar guitars and selling them here for $200 just to piss her off.

the X is a square because the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, Lee's army, was square.
the flag on the general lee, which is a rectangle and has royal blue as opposed to the dark blue above, is the flag of the confederate navy.
and i seriously doubt that these people are trying to honor the esteemed confederate navy.
this would be like calling the Gadsden flag ("dont tread on me") the "American flag". its not and never was. flags mean very particular things. thats why we have them.
if youre gonna pretend that youre honoring history i dont think its too much to ask that you know what that history is.
You are correct that the ANV used a square pattern of the battle flag that contained the St. Andrews Cross but the Confederate Army of Tennessee used the same flag with the St. Andrews Cross in a rectangular pattern. You are correct that the 2nd Navy Jack yielded a lighter blue color in the St. Andrews Cross than did the square flag of the ANV or the rectangular flag of Johnston's Army of Tennessee. But the flag depicted on the car is a battle flag.

Toronto, Canada was a bastion of slavery apparently too. Who knew?
