...but the Confederate Army of Tennessee used the same flag with the St. Andrews Cross in a rectangular pattern...
thats possible of course but im not aware of any battle flag with this look that was anything but square. even the one for Tennessee

from your link...

"Despite never having historically represented the Confederate States of America as a country, nor officially recognized as one of its national flags, the rectangular Second Confederate Navy Jack and the Battle Flag of Northern Virginia are now flag types commonly referred to as the Confederate Flag.
They both have become a widely recognized symbol of the Southern United States. It is also known as the rebel flag, Dixie flag, and Southern cross and is often incorrectly referred to as the Stars and Bars.
The actual "Stars and Bars" is the first national flag, which used an entirely different design."

again, many/most who fly this say theyre doing it for historical pride, but thats pretty hard to believe when they dont even know what the flag is.

small differences are not small differences when it comes to a flag. if youre proud of being from texas...

im gonna think youre an idiot if you fly the flag of chile.

"close" is not good enough. these two flags represent very different things.

Just some good ole boys
Never meanin' no harm
Beats all you never saw
Been in trouble with the law
Since the day they were born

Straigtenin' the curves
Flatenin' the hills
Somedaythe mounain might get'em
But the law never will.

Makin their way
The only way they know how
Well, that's just a litle bit more
Than the law will allow

It was frickin' non serious fun TV show that featured a damn car and John Schneider playing with a bow and arrow and blowing things up ....like outhouses.....forget the damn flag....remember Daisy and her very short shorts!!! Daisy was what was important....at least to me. The chases were pretty cool too. Think like a 12 year old boy dammit

The battle flag used by Johnston's Army of Tennessee was rectangular. Issued in February, 1864. The flags issued to the infantry and cavalry were 37"x54" and the flag issued to the artillery branch was 30"x41" as the article states.
