Their own government is the one failing them. The government they specifically and uniquely continue to reelect. It’s quite literally only their problem.

frick the social contract. They don’t get education. Just higher taxes and bumbling speeches from a clown who’s never had a real job a day in his life.

Maybe they should vote for someone else to run their city and state.

Not particularly, no. But if they have to live with the consequences of their own poor decisions, that isn’t on me or the federal government.

If there are 40 murders per 100,000 residents and there have only been 87 murders this year … the math isn’t mathing.

You keep saying “frick em” with just nicer words. Just admit that you’re saying “frick em.”

I would like to welcome you to the concept of “annualized.”

I’m not, is the thing.

I’m saying the federal government has no part whatsoever in dealing with violent crime in Chicago, or anywhere else outside of DC, military installations, and our overseas possessions.

And it shouldn’t. Federalism and dual sovereignty are sort of our thing.

But the local government isn’t going to do anything but posture that the Feds shouldn’t be doing anything. And we’re back to “frick em.”

Yes. We are 2/3rds of the way through the year.

3/4

You’re right. 2/3.

If we average this year and last years total murders, we still don’t land at a murder rate of 40 per 100,000

Edit 2: last year’s murder rate was 34.

If “em” doesn’t want federal help, it’s not saying “frick em”.

Puts you at 22 with 4 months to go.

Of course we need to knock off a few days since New Orleans was occupied by the NG first part of the month. Remember how frightened you were?

You’re making a distinction between the ruled and the rulers. The ruled don’t get to ask for more help. They have to wait for whoever the Democrat machine spits out and then vote for them. You can dress that up in other ways. And we can pretend that the principles of Democracy will suddenly invade Chicago. And you can suck the philosophical dick of muh Federalist principles. I’m fine with that. But you need to admit that there’s a very real price for those principles. And quit pretending like you aren’t saying “frick em.” Because you certainly are.

14 of those murders were from a terrorist attack.

I said it’s unsettling to see military with weapons and armored vehicles when you’re just living your every day life. I’m glad you delight in being watched by armed military while you walk down the street. I do not.

Yes they do.

No they don’t. They don’t care about the crime at present. They have other priorities, and that is their prerogative

Such as? States governing themselves as they see fit in ways that do not impact the other States?

And once again, no I’m not. If they ask for federal help, I’m all for it. They haven’t, and likely won’t, and so it is my opinion that there is no basis whatsoever for the federal government to be involved.
