Nice strawman, though.

So an actual problem that we have as a nation is now considered your go to “straw man” argument. I have seen you use this 100s of times just to avoid the actual argument. Get some new material.

quote:

Rich countries will have negative trade imbalances because they have more money to spend on goods from abroad.

Ludicrous, rich countries sustain it by keeping trade imbalances from happening. Being prosperous does not mean being financially stupid (which we have for decades).

quote:

Poor countries will have positive trade balances because they're poor and will be more likely to be exporters who can't afford expensive goods.

Again, ludicrous! They have a positive trade balance because we let them have it. There is an easy way to equalize it.

quote:

If you want to "fix" things, you need communism. That makes everyone poor. No more rich countries = fewer trade imbalances.

So the trade imbalances can only be fixed through communism? Thanks for your input comrade!

You have to be the dumbest lawyer on the planet. What a joke.

No. That's not correct at all. 0/2

quote:

Incorrect. I point them out b/c people are dishonest and/or bad at rhetoric, so they use them often.

You're relying on an incorrect assumption (trade imbalances are "financially stupid") to ignore the larger point.

It's a satirical response to your question, to show how absurd your question is.

I'm not actually advocating for communism, bubba.

Multiple levels of my responses appear WAY over your head, and then you add this?

Both can be true at the same time Roger.

Sorry to go back on topic. Are you denying Obama tapped Donnie’s wires?

It depends on how you define that (there has recently been similar discussions that incorrectly used the term "wiretapping" which doesn't seem to have happened), but probably not

"tapped wires" =/= "spy", regardless.

There was legally-authorized surveillance of these people, is the most accurate way to describe it.

*ETA: again, none of this is relevant to the claim that I supported Obama

In other words, Obama used the full weight of the government to tap the wires of a political opponent.

That's one way to spin it.

Again, it's not "spying" and, most important, has no relevance to the claim that I supported Obama

I haven’t asked that question.

Needed to get the wire tapping confirmation out of the way first.

Great reply and info to back it up Mr Strawman.

Great reply and no info other than opinion from Mr Strawman.

Ah yes the MSM classic reply of “incorrect, unsupported, unsubstantiated etc.” response while using the larger point “straw man” but not laying out the “larger point”.

Cool! So what is your non satirical response? Inquiring strawmen want to know!

Ah yes! The I am a smarter straw man than you because…….well because….my responses were multiple levels above…..well you know…….lol….you.

Looking for the gotcha chief. You forgot to add the gotcha? Oh, the gotcha is a….. you guessed it….a STRAWMAN. Idiot you are and a laughing stock on this board. Congrats.

You mis-stated my argument and I informed you of this. Hence the 0/2 (as you've done it twice without successfully doing it)

I already laid out the larger point for you, and I even clarified it on the level of a small child

Let's focus on precise language

What if I told you the gov’t is listening and reading everything you say and do. Both administrations.

You would be correct.

Why these people think politicians should be treated differently are arguing for an elitism that's shocking to me.

I thought we agreed upon, “Obama used the full weight of the Presidency, FISA courts, and DOJ to tap Trumps wires”?

That is a fully accurate statement, no?

Wait, do we actually want low-skill, economically inefficient manufacturing to be done here? I thought one goal of having an advanced economy was so that we could focus on producing goods and services where we have a comparative advantage and other countries can do likewise.

This is the fully accurate statement (with no spin)
