fricking leftists are so sensitive about the NFL you would think they own an interest in one of the teams.

You go ahead and contribute to BLM. I choose not to.

Probably same reason I dont go. Id rather get drunk and grill at home while watching in HD on a 70” TV and pissing in my own nice clean bathroom

The SEC drop is due to teams like Tennessee, Ark, & Ole Miss having really shitty years.

Overall though, it’s going to be tough to sell the cost of attending a game vs sitting at home and catching it on a flat screen.

Watching football in a stadium is not and never has been enjoyable, unless you are there for the spectacle more than for the actual game.

I have ALWAYS enjoyed watching my beloved wolverines at home or at local sports bar.

Games have gotten stupid expensive. I used to go to 5-7 games a year. Now I go to 1-2 and that is just to see friends.

Arizona State, Kentucky, North Carolina and Penn State are all in the process of downsizing stadiums. In marketing circles, that creates a more intimate experience.

What the hell does this mean? After UK's stadium downsize, not one seat was a fricking inch closer to the field. "More intimate experience," my arse.

I’ve been selling my tix the last 3 years. Was going to get them back starting this year but I just can’t justify it. $3k plus the added costs of game days for something that I just don’t value like I used to. I didn’t miss an LSU home game for 15 years. But then it got to be a chore. I think I’m done. Maybe when my son gets older but even then, I’d rather just buy individuals or scoop up some freebies every now and then

And those TVs have gotten to be spectacular with reasonable prices. A giant screen today is better viewing than being at the stadium.

People don't believe me when I tell them this. I spend 5-7 days a week on college campuses, large and small.

TODAY'S STUDENTS DON'T CARE ABOUT FOOTBALL.

At a very high rate. They care about keeping their head in their phones. I have a niece at a school with an extremely high success rate at the football thing. One whose name will not be mentioned because I disowned her, but they wear crimson.

She goes to one, maybe two games a year and her roommate has never been to a game.

Its not just current students - This has been brewing for 10 years. Young alumni buy a lot of tickets and they aren't buying them. Add in the TV product being so great and you have a recipe for lower attendance.

It takes a lot of money to support a professional sports organization, and NFL minor league masquerading as a college sport.

Wow you're so incredibly wrong. Go to any campus on game day and see if we don't care

Not surprised this turned into a frick millennial bashing thread when it has more to do with increased ticket prices and older alumni reselling their tickets at insane prices.
