No. We need more prisons. We need bigger jails. We need to be deporting more illegal immigrants, we need to be holding suspected murderers and rapists without bail, and we need to be putting more burglars, rapists, armed robbers, carjackers, muggers, vandals, and batterers in prison.
There are far too many serial offenders allowed to just keep walking around in society committing crimes. They must be removed from society. Let rehabilitation be for white collar criminals. If you’re physically harming others or damaging their property, you should be removed from society.

Are you proposing that we send the death row prisoners to Mars to start the colony?

Cubbies said they're getting treated so harshly, phd studies show that incarcerating them does nothing for their victims

We should put murderers and repeat violent offenders on a fricking island and let them fend for themselves. Should also just have planes to deport illegals the moment they are apprehended, no need to feed them or pay for them to leave.

If I don’t think I could ever trust a human to reenter society if the committed certain crimes.
If I never plan to let you out of prison, why would I try to rehabilitate you?
If I never plan to let you out of prison, why would I just not eliminate you?
Crimes that once committed prevents me from ever trusting anyone.
Premeditated murder: (Especially it’s random) Attempted counts as well, just cause you aren’t good at it doesn’t make you more trustworthy.
Rape: I’m talking the beat them up, forced rape, where it’s clear what’s going on.
Prepubescent sexual molestation: If a person sleeps with a child, something is so broken inside I don’t believe it can ever be fixed.

For violent criminals, we need prison camps. Especially for repeat offenders.

Yes...
I like it, we put death row inmates on an island with these phds scholars, and liberal arts grads.
We pool their assets and send them food every week.
I think we should give them say 15 to 20 years on the island to see if this works...

The chances of rehabilitation for death row inmates is miniscule and not worth the possible negative outcome to find out.
Younger, non violent first time drug offenders are eligible for rehabilitation programs within the prison system in many states already.

You should do some volunteer work in prison and ask this again.

Justice isn’t about making the criminal a better person. It is about giving them what they deserve for their crimes.

Specifically for death row inmates
No. The "rehabilitation" is for the potential re-integration with society upon release. Death row inmates do not qualify for that so what exactly are you rehabilitating them for? Warm fuzzies?
