You keep seeing claims that essential federal employees are nonessential? Where are you seeing that?
On this board several times. Use the search function and you will find it.
Cannot find a single instance of folks stating essential government workers were nonessential.

Again, it appears you were simply confused.
Perhaps though you can cite an example demonstrating otherwise?

SS is 100% not getting paid. Still continue work though.
And whoever said they investigate bank robberies is wrong. They investigate cyber crimes, counterfeit cash, and a variety of fraud. Not traditional bank robbery with stolen cash.

Common myth, while the president does not pay rent while living in the White House, he is billed monthly for a large portion of the expenses incurred, including all meals for the president and family that are not part of a official function.

"Bush wrote that a bill came monthly, itemizing everything she and her family owed, including food, dry cleaning and hourly wages for waiters and cleanup crews at private parties.

"There were some costs that I was not prepared for," Bush wrote. "I was amazed by the sheer number of designer clothes that I was expected to buy, like the women before me, to meet the expectations for a first lady."
