Take away the incentives and the californians, chicagoans, new yorkers stay put or go back.

The assumption that Californians are all leftists is wrong. There are more conservative people in Cali than in just about any other state. I’ve heard people in Nevada say that the influx from Cali is making the state redder. A lot of people pissed of at what is happening in Cali.

let me tell you a little secret about states with no income tax, they have through roof property taxes, in DFW it is not unusual to have between $1200-1800 a month property taxes.

The law could be that you have to live in the state for 10 years before you're exempt from the income tax.

Nashville is $3600-$10000 and up. And starbucks is moving hq here. Lord help us, we’ll be the next state after TX and GA to go blue.

Only for those who show up in the state with Cali identification.
Call it an entry tax. Or a fee to get a proper state ID.
If Cali can do exit taxes for the rich, states can do entry taxes for the fleeing Cali's

Do you know what the once majority Republican state decided to do? Open the Southern border and started electing moderate Democrats, Texas is on that same journey now so we will be saying it about transplanted Texans in about 10 years.

No, but they can collect the Exit Tax for California and keep 40%. The Californians will surely stay put. Chicago and NY will soon follow with their own Exit Tax.

No. Just pass comprehensive voter fraud laws. They hate that.

And make these liberal "safe spaces" hot zones.
If we make it plain and clear that coming to our red state isn't a good idea for them... We can hope they change their minds.

Yep, but most people don't live in $1.5 million dollar homes. A lot do, though.

NO. They're doing a pretty good job right now raising property taxes, why add another tax?
And before anyone starts it...EVERYONE pays property taxes.

Why would you leave out Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and any other states that fleeing Californians have turned to crap? This is not a new thing. CA refugees have been infiltrating, and bringing their shitty ideas, for a long time.

No. But they should put every illegal on a boat and sail them to Haiti without asking the federal government for an opinion.

Why don't you smart guys post the tax rate per $100.00 ? This way the numbers might mean something.
In Austin, Travis county, here are the rates
AUSTIN ISD....................................$0.9184
City of Austin....................................$0.58
Travis County...................................$0.386
Travis County Health Care district...$0.118
Austin Community College district...$0.104
Total tax of about $2.11 per $100.00 of appraised value.
So a $350,000 home annual property tax is about $7372.40.
There are some exemptions such as Homestead that can be applied saving about $1,500 on the above tax bill. This equals an annual tax of about 1.68% of your homes appraised value, or about $5872 on that $350K appraised home.
