I’m pro-life but being against pregnant mothers receiving the credit seems hypocritical, no?

If it's considered a life then a credit should be given.

Was the child claimed as a dependent on either the 18 or 19 tax return?

Any child born in 2020 will be eligible for the 500 dollar tax credit, but it will not be available for early distribution.

I see why it isn’t happening from an administrative stand point, but from an eligibility standpoint I think this would be a good place for pro-life people to make a positive impact and move the needle a little, as it relates to the cause.

this "stimulus" is based on existing child tax credit philosophy. fetuses shouldn't qualify as the ctc is now but it certainly is reasonable to add them to ctc approach, especially if it would curve abortion.

They aren’t citizens until you sign the birth certificate and makes them the corporation of their name

If they have the baby this year, they will get the credit when they file their 2019 taxes.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong on this, but I’ve seen this argument elsewhere already and someone said a (now) pregnant woman who does have a child in 2020 will still be eligible for the stimulus credit, but will get it on her 2020 tax return in 2021?

I’d love to see DJT sign an executive order declaring that pregnant women receive the stimulus for their unborn child. This is a golden opportunity to seize the narrative in a big way.

This is correct. It’s also correct for people who, based on 2019 or 18, do not qualify for the stimulus check. They will, if qualified based on 2020, get those credits.

I understood why they are/can be excluded. That wasn’t the question. The question is why are we not including them. Subtle but important distinctions. Sorry they eluded you.

Hmmm, what if they get their check and then have a 'miscarriage.'

Yes. Then let's start protecting an unborn child with the same rights a born child has - you know not murdering it.

She got her stimulus.

It's how she ended up pregnant!
