Should police go back to batons and give up tazors?

Just thinking that a few sharp cracks on brooks forehead might have saved his child beating life instead another ineffective taser incident cost him his.
Seriously, two cops whacking that fruitcake a few times and tossing him in the drunk tank to sober up and he would already be back out on the street by now with his white thang getting jiggly and shizzle my wizzle.
Cops need to go back to what works and whatever happened to water cannons did South Africa buy all ours up?
That shite would have stomped out all of this nonsense day one...

They still have batons. Some cops in Miami were cracking skulls earlier this month.

Pretty sure they also have those collapsible batons like the one that was used on Nancy Kerrigan’s knee. One of those hits like a motherfricker and gives you a good reach advantage provided they don’t have a gun.

How bout batons with tazers on 'em?

Little known fact: That half retard that was hired to hit Kerrigan hit her with the padded handle end of the baton. Which is why it didn't shatter her knee cap. The expandable baton is called an ASP and they hurt like a mother when you get hit with the correct end.

The reason for the taser was to maintain a safe, reactionary distance from combative individuals. To use a baton, it has to be close quarters combat. The taser allows an officer to keep a distance, yet gain control of an individual. So no, keep the taser and use when needed to avoid actual up close, physical combat.

Nobody said you couldn't throw one of those MF's and take em out...

..maybe divide the cops between unarmed "peacekeepers" and a a well trained SWAT team to enforcement of law and order when necessary.

Well, I was thinking something so you can beat on 'em and electrocute 'em at the same time.

Nothing wrong with taser. That Atlanta incident was a mess. I had a dude pull from handcuffing, grab a rifle off the ground. Only reason he alive today is i happen to notice that none of his fingers were in the trigger guard or near it. He took off in the woods. I picked him up 2 days later on an escape warrant, at his residence.

LOL. So there was a rifle just laying on the ground, you fricked up cuffing the guy, he grabbed the rifle, and you just let him go because his fingers weren't inside the trigger guard?

Either way, the narrative would be “ he was a good ( boy or husband) and this was too much .

It was his rifle that i made him put down. It was an illegal hunt, so not unusual to have a rifle. 26 degrees he had heavy coveralls with too long of a sleeve and the cuff spun around and hung up. So yes mr civilian , thats what happened. And that is cool headed professional thinking. Not arm chair po dunk fishtown civilian macho thinking. So, now i cancelled out what should have been common sense, as to why a rifle was present, i cancelled out the cuff mishap, which again common sense would have prevailed, then quick professional thinking resulted in an end that was professional. And no use of juvenile emoticons. State recruitment usually avoids the gum chewing sunglasses on top the head, macho run with the pack applicants.

The LE community will unfortunately suffer from this BS but they are also well trained in defending what is Right
