The best way I can describe it taking a punch from prime Mike Tyson, except all that kinetic energy is concentrated into a couple millimeter pinpoint. You're going to survive, but it'll break ribs, clavicle, scapula, or breastplate - or maybe some combination of the above.
Being shot in the lower shoulder/bicep and having it go all the way through was actually less painful and healed quicker
