Short summary of the “Flynn” situation?

flynn was among several people the obama administration was aware might be a security risk.

vp biden saw the list.

nothing else to it.

meanwhile the ny times is using foia to get trump emails which may prove he should be impeached.

trump campaign is attempting to besmirch biden with nothing burgers while trump is pleading with federal court to prevent his fraudulent and evasive tax returns from being used to send trump to.prison for his misdeeds prior to presidency.

trump is looking at two guilty pleas while pretending biden is implicated in, oh no! looking at a list.

This is what I've got so far, so lets summarize:

1. General Mike Flynn goes on vacation to the Dominican Republic the last week of December 2016.

2. Obama places sanctions on Russia on 12/29/2016 and Russian diplomats are kicked out of the U.S. including Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

3. Obama issues a order under FISA regs to surveil Russian diplomats though our intelligence services. This order does not require a warrant throught the FISC if it comes from the POTUS.

4. Upon being sent home Kislyak calls Mike Flynn the national security advisor while on vacation in the Dominican Republic, the same day 12/29/2016. (I wonder if he was encouraged to call?...hmmmm). It sure would be easy to tap this call from the U.S. to Flynn's cell phone on unsecured comms.

5. IC records the call (which we currently have no evidence of). Because we have no evidence of the electronically recorded call part of our IC includes Five Eyes partner Britain and their spy agency GHCQ (equivalent to the NSA in the U.S.). GHCQ records the call, makes a transcript and forwards the transcript to the FBI.

6. The FBI Strzok and another agent ambushes Mike Flynn after the Trump Administration takes the White House and they interview him about he call with Kislyak. The initial form 302 indicated that Flynn's account of the call was consistent with the transcript of the call. That's probably why the original 302 is lost.

7. The FBI was about to drop the Flynn investigation but at the last minuet a call was made from the 7th floor of the Hoover building (Comey) and investigation continued.

8. Mueller took it from the FBI once the special counsel was formed.

9. Mueller blackmailed Flynn into pleading guilty to lying to FBI agents by threatening his son with FARA violations which are very easy to commit when registering and filling out FARA forms. Fail to dot an 'i" can lead to a violation. They are never investigated unless the FBI has a vendetta against you.

10. Flynn plead guilty to lying to avoid the prospect of his son being investigated by the Feds and making his life a living hell when he just got married and his wife is about to have a baby.

You know the rest of the story.

The problem with all of this is I don't see any laws broken by Obama. I see a lot of abuse of power but there is no law against abuse of power.

GumboPot, this is a very good 20K foot summary. One suggestion: I would swap #6 & #7 as I think that would be chronologically more accurate.

Another thing that has become so incredibly important and possibly not highlighted enough is the 302 frickery. In a false statement case, it is the central piece of evidence and the record of the alleged false statement.

Here, that critical piece of evidence was, itself, tampered with, falsified and/or destroyed- plus, Mueller investigators obstructed and hid that exculpatory information from Flynn's original attorneys.

Don’t forget that while unmasking Flynn over the phone calls is perfectly legal, leaking this classified information is a felony. One of the unmaskers or their staff passed the information to journalists seemingly to hurt a political rival.

As we leaned from the impeachment hearings, the Democrats believe that using the office to hurt political rivals is the worst possible thing ever. Even when there is obviously a reason to investigate.

Of coarse the FBI agents the interviewed Flynn said he was honest until Page and Slease changed the 302.

I do. Seditious Conspiracy. The goal was to get Flynn out of the way so as to remove Trump. Flynn was in a position to warn Trump as to the existence of Crossfire Hurricane, which we all know was likely not a legal investigation,it should never have been opened.

I agree with you 100%. However getting me to agree and prosecuting a legal case to convince a jury in DC or NOVA to convict are worlds apart.
