They didn’t get majority but the right made big gains. They get worse propaganda than we do in terms of political party. They actively label opposition parties as extremist a ban them for office.

Macron decided to take a warmonger stance as President of France. He’s constantly pushing to send more French troops into Ukraine. It’s a curious stance for Paris. Perhaps he thought it would appeal to the right wing but the right wing in France is not pro war.

France’s budget deficit and debt has spiraled worse under Macron, fueled by the unwise decisions of the sanctions regime. Cost of living for average French citizens has exploded. Crime is rising. And he spends most of his time talking about Ukraine and staying on good terms with China.

All over Europe

>Mass immigration of Men from 3rd world countries who hate their new home and have no respect for women or society

>Destroying their economy to prop up Ukraine

>Losing their independence to be a one government of the EU or puppet of the U.S.

>Due to importing millions of social leaches their social safety nets have began to collapse

It’s also interesting to note that the longtime leading conservative party in France, Les Republicains, is down to 7% of the vote while Le Pen’s RN is up to one third of the vote. Les Republicains lost another seat, unable to capitalize on Macron’s weakness because they do not effectively address issues that matter to the people that once voted for them; those issues being immigration, border security, foreign policy, crime, war, individual civil liberties and freedom, preservation of French sovereignty and independence in the age of globalism.

For decades, Les Republicains stood around and wrung their hands. They have done nothing of substance for their voters. So their voters have abandoned them. They are close to extinction.

I like to think this is the future of the GOP.

Because we need something better here than the GOP.

There is a demographic shift going on in 6 EU nations moving to the right. It's motivated by Gen Z males. Those elections are coming soon. I have no idea if our young males are leaning right.

Sounds sadly familiar.

That is a majority of our discourse now too. We can’t talk or address hardly anything else because it takes all the oxygen out of the room.

So wait, he got an answer he didn't like and he just overrides the will of the people?

This is what leftists call democracy.

Macron has already warned of this probability and already blamed Russia for it.

According to my 23 y/o son, yes. They are definitely getting the short end of the DEI lottery and they don't like it.

We went to Paris spring 2023. I was utterly shocked how unsafe it felt. NYC is not even a comparison as it feels so much safer than Paris does. 100 bags of garbage on every corner. All the public transport was in dissaray due to the strikes (we were actually lucky we bought tickets on the Swiss bullet train to leave or we would have been stuck as it was the only train in the station that was actually running the morning we left). Felt like 60% of the city were immigrants from somewhere else, before we even get to the fact that they are not friendly to Americans to begin with. Would never go back to Paris.
