is that 172?
THIS is why I voted for Trump!
never in my wildest dreams did I ever think he would wind up being the best President we've had in my lifetime
we will be over 300 by 2024, and AT LEAST 1 more on SCOTUS

The Senate confirmed President Trump’s ninth judicial nominee to the liberal 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday, elevating Patrick Bumatay, an openly gay Filipino man, to the federal bench over objections from his liberal home-state senators.
quote:
He did not have support from California Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala D. Harris, who said the White House never consulted with them about the nominee. “Patrick Bumatay lacks the knowledge and experience necessary for the 9th Circuit. He also acknowledged working on the separation of immigrant families while at the Justice Department and refused to answer questions about other controversial issues,” said Ms. Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee.

But conservative groups cheered Mr. Bumatay, saying he received a “Qualified” rating from the American Bar Association, a group often touted by Democratic lawmakers. “The reason the Democrats and these left-wing groups think Patrick Bumatay is unqualified is because he is a conservative judicial nominee who happens to be a minority who doesn’t fall in line with liberal orthodoxy,” said Mike Davis, president of the Article III Project, which backs the president’s judicial nominees.

How could anyone vote against him? If you do, you’re obviously HOMOPHOBIC!

My roommate in college was gay. Poor guy lost a lot of friends when he “came out” as MAGA.

As a gay man and Trump supporter, I cannot wait to bring this up to my gay friends who go into panic attacks when anyone mentions Trump in front of them.
I love them, but they simply cannot reconcile any example of how Trump may not be the anti-gay monster the left wants to paint him as.
1) Our US ambassador to Germany
2) Fighting for gay rights in other countries where gays are thrown off buildings
3) Calling for and allocating extra money to the CDC for HIV eradication by 2030
4) Securing Prep (HIV prevention meds) for 250,000 at risk people for 11 years
5) Not touching gay marriage (as he promised)
6) Appointing this Federal judge
Yeah...gays are doing terrible under Trump.
I also ask them routinely: as a gay man, what specific right has Trump taken away from you? That's always a nice opportunity to hear the crickets chirp. You'd think that three years in, and with Trump being the monster he is that they'd have at least one example. They don't.
What a fricking time to be alive.

Ridiculous assumption based upon this vote.
Mainstream senators like Harris or Feinstein are justly opposed to throwback right wingers who will kick America back into 1950s social values, regardless of their sexual orientation.

This is the most significant policy step for gay people.
What the actual frick Is the LGBT lobby / activist community really worried about?? Talk about totally losing sight about what’s really important to your community if you’re fighting for the right to have Drag Queen Story Hour and not celebrating this.
I freaking remember the 80s. HIV/AIDS devastated the gay community. It was an enormous political issue. I do not recall any president taking any public steps - much less pledging to eradicate it and providing drugs that prevent the spread and a literally life saving drug.
I hope you are repeating this mantra daily to your friends.
I love when MAGA walks the walk.

Impossible.
Trump is homophobe who wants to put all gays in death camps.
At least that’s what the left tells me.
