Lee is not allowing the "implied consent" to happen, where Thune says everybody is going home for recess and if no one objects, it happens
By formally objecting and forcing a vote, Lee is making everyone put their vote in public
But if that vote occurs, a simple majority is still enough to go on recess. They just have to say it in public
