You think I wrote the X post?

Nah...it's just so aggravating to see.

At least they'll have to publicly state their choice.
Somebody is trying - unlike Thune and the other RINOs.
The people want this and they don't want to lose votes.

When the recess question actually hits the floor: Either a roll-call vote occurs (Lee forces it) and the majority still recesses, or leadership structures the adjournment to minimize the drama (pro formas, shorter break, or tying it to other business). Full cancellation of the August period is the least likely pure outcome.
Should be interesting, but ultimately performative, which is what we have all learned to expect from our "Senators"

The vote would be about the August recess. Public doesn’t care about that.

No
Mike Lee has pushed to let states sell off federal public lands within their state. Some well connected developers will get rich while hunters will lose their places to hunt without being forced to shell out small fortunes

The vote is to stay and pass the save America act or go on vacation.
Only you pervs see it differently.

Does a state have the jurisdiction to sell federal lands?

I've read debates on X w/ Mike Lee and ancaps. Nothing confrontational at all, just debating substance. He's impressive AF and philosophically, he seems to be a minarchist type as opposed to a full blown ancap. That's 100% fine by me and I would vote for him as president w/o hesitation.
I know the poster above me doesn't like the idea of states selling off federal land, but I'm all for it. I want the fed gov owning as little land as humanly possible. Move the needle towards the fed gov answering to the states, like was the original intent, instead of the other way around.

No, but he pushed legislation to allow that though about a year or so ago. Utah has a lot of federal land and he wanted the state to be able to sell it. It was covered pretty heavily on a hunting / outdoors podcast I follow, but I never saw a peep of about it in mainstream media. The legislation was ultimately pulled off the table after receiving a lot of pushback

Let the ones against it go on record. Then if you vote against it, deal with an angry constituency and face losing next time you are up for reelection. Grow some balls!

Finally, someone in that chamber is standing up for what’s right.

Lee for VP under JD.
Lee has historically been one of the biggest h1b proponents.

Wonder how Mitch will vote.

Wrong. Over 80% of the “public” cares about a vote on August recess because they want the SAVE Act passed. A vote to take recess is the equivalent of a nay on SAVE, and the public will view it that way as well. We are flushing out the snakes who want rigged elections.
How can you be against a law that ensures free and fair elections? What exactly is your contention with the SAVE Act? What harm will it do you and your children if it passes? These aren’t gotcha questions. If there is any other reason you’re against it besides the fact that it will lessen the cheating in elections, I’d sure like to know

I was once giving you the benefit of the doubt and thinking people were just ragging on you, justly or not. I realize now that the raggers are spot on and you really are a simpleton. Shame on me!
