81% of Black Americans Don't Want Less Police Presence Despite Protests—Some Want More Cops: Poll
If that’s the case then a landslide majority support the police

Dims for the publicized reasons and law abiding citizens for recognizing their failure to protect. How can this be changed?
Ideally, the police should be apolitical. Protect all, and not be forced into serving as propaganda. Sheriff is perhaps the best application- not even the governor can force a sheriff into something he interprets as unlawful or negligent. Of course, that status can also be an allure to those who want their own little fiefdom.

old my coworker today, I don't know how any police officer can vote for Biden right now. I'd imagine every police officer and their entire family would vote trump.
Most from NOLA will. These are like the idiots in the military that will be voting for Joe.

Pretty sure law abiding citizens see exactly what the frick is going on. They aren’t blaming the police at all.
Good grief.
Good grief.

Absolutely.
And a large percentage of LEOs are black or Hispanic.

Hell people who’ve screwed up committed a crime and moved forward aren’t against police.

I am glad they are there doing their jobs and I respect that they have a tough job. But this has largely shown that they will do whatever their masters tell them. If that means letting innocent people be hurt by rioters so be it. If it means violating constitutional rights they are doing it. They are the enforcers there to do what the political class tells them. I believe most are good people just trying to do a job. Most people in all walks of life just do what their bosses tell them.

Well in reality, if they use force and it’s against the new policy these chicken shot politicians create then they have set themselves up to be prosecuted criminally and civilly. It creates a tough situation for a guy that’s waited his whole career to kick a commies arse

Largely I don’t believe many would ever do so intentionally. They may at some point feeling obligated to enforce new laws and regulations they are instructed to but it’s not by choice

That’s why it would be wonderful if it was privatized. Even though the politicians still make the laws that will be enforced, it would be a start.

Imagine investing most of your adult life into a career only wanting to do a good job and serve your community all the while having some politicians make the rules for you who has never stepped foot in the hood or seen the inside of a crack house, or had to put hands on someone to take them into custody not knowing if it’s gonna be a small scuffle or if you’re gonna end up fighting for your life.
I was in a discussion tonight with some local officers and we talked about some small departments around here and their pay. When $16 and hour starting pay and having your insurance paid by the department is considered great, it really makes you wonder who is gonna sign up for that

We have donated rather generous sums to police organizations since the stupidity began to show support.
We love the police.

Law abiding citizens are not against police. I do support taking the police out of black neighborhoods . If that’s what they really want then make it happen. They will be thd ones that will die . The police safe way more black lives then they save.

So lebrawn wants drug dealers, rapist and murderers to run the streets? The Blue is the only thing standing between you and chaos! I’m 100% behind police officers and sheriff deputies!
