It's amazing how much worse it is now than just 5 years ago. We used to go a few times a month for dinner, concerts, or ball games. Haven't been in a year now (I'm only 40 min away) and I know other people who have said the same. No one wants to guide their kids through a mob of junkies just to get to your car and back.

How are things in Spokane? A friend of mine moved there a few years ago and liked it.

Not sure. It's a long way from here and almost feels like it's in a different state. I've heard mixed reviews There's a poster here that lives there so maybe he'll chime in.

A few rosewood batons could fix that entire problem.

Though the city has deteriorated in certain places, where I used to live and still hang out hasn't gotten noticeably worse, in my opinion. I don't often go downtown though.

Cheaper housing. Less rain, more sun, but also they have an actual winter.

Downtown area is currently being gentrified. A friend just bought a nice home for 150k and is in the middle of all the new construction.

It's not a lefty city.

They really need FedGov Dem power to bail them out of their problems.

It seems like it got a lot worse when they really started kicking people out of 'the jungle'. They just keep kicking them around from place to place which doesn't solve anything.

I know a few people in Spokane, it's less expensive, awesome outdoors opportunities and fairly sane.

I mostly hang out in Capitol Hill, and there are pockets there that haven't gotten noticeably worse or better since I left in 2016. Not to say that this isn't a major problem. I don't know how anyone will fix this either.

That's mostly what I hear. I said mixed reviews because I hear the job market is tight. I have no clue though.

They have the right to vote and change the people in charge. This mess is on them, and it is on us to stop this liberal mindset in it's tracks. Thanks for sharing.

And it's creeping into everywhere. I don't know if you've seen them but I've seen tents popping up next to the Fred Meyer on 19th and Mildred. They don't let them stay long but it's troubling that it has become so common.

That's crazy. I always see a bunch of homeless people at Lakewood Towne Center.

Also, have you tried House of Donuts right by there? I think its on Gravelly Lake Dr. Best donut place I've had here.

My younger bro lives in the tri cities area. I've flown into Spokane a few times getting there. It's got a nice vibe

yeah, it's usually an entire mob. I don't know why they would want to stay over here. There's really no services for them besides the plasma center(another area they congregate). All the services are downtown.

I'm not a doughnut guy but my kids love that place.

You've quite obviously never been to a 3rd World country. Or even an emerging country. Seattle is absolutely nothing like it.

Once they got on Uber Eats, I've ordered it like ten times. I've said this before, but I have no idea how they stay open given the amount of food you get for the prices they have. Might order it myself today.
