It’s been broken for 40 plus years. They’ve been making openly political decisions that hurt us for decades now.

On this Roberts is being consistent. He has been against the Court being used as a legislative body of last resort. Just like in Obamacare. He's basically saying that this should be a legislative issue and he is not for using the court to rescue the legislative where it fails

Texas is being forsaken by the government. We can't rely on them to protect our border. We are now not allowed to defend it ourselves. We are sinking faster than the titanic.

This is the court's responsibility by design.

Sure, it’s the courts responsibility to tell Congress that it’s Congress’s problem.

The founders absolutely never envisioned or intended for the Court to make policy determinations.

You mean, like exactly what he did do in Sebelius?

There was a glaring, fatal flaw in the law and he was more than happy to "save" the law by adopting a position that even Obama's DOJ wasn't arguing.

And don't even get me started with the absence of a severability clause, which means the whole law should have been tossed when the mandate was deemed unconstitutional.

Maybe so. But if this is the decision you’re using as evidence, you’re off base.

Yet, it has, since almost its beginning.

You don't get decisions like Obergfell and Seblius from courts that honor the Constitution.

The present court didn’t render those decisions.

I said nothing about whether it has or hasn’t. I addressed a comment about the founder’s intent.

No one here disagrees.

That means more bad decisions should be made in the future?

Oh, please...

The Constitution is the Constitution.

The law is the law.

These were anti-constitutional POLICY DRIVEN decisions written by Anthony Kennedy (GOP appointee) and John Roberts (GOP appointee).

The very thing you Pollyannaishly claim it doesn't do.

The Court makes the decisions it wants to make.

Five black robed traitors want open borders.

So frick them.

Biden has gone against SCOTUS rulings several times.

TEXAS SHOULD BE TEXAS AND DO WHAT TEXAS NEEDS TO DO TO SUPPORT THEIR BORDER.

Roberts can GFH he is such a tool.

Then demand of your legislators that they do something. Don't rely on the Court to allow the legislative to punt. That is what both sides are doing or not doing and hoping that SCOTUS does their job for them. The border and immigration are federal responsibilities that NEED to be addressed by the legislative end and enforced via the executive end.

Do you really want to let them abrogate their responsibilities to 5 unelected judges? Make Congress do its job. Then compel the Executive branch enforce the law. I'm all for controlling and limiting immigration and border enforcement.......I want Congress and the President to do it.....it's their job

There ain't no maybe so

The DOJ is currently going after Catholics Christians parents anyone with white skin or anyone who dares to be a Republican

Do I even need to add all the current discrimination taking place in schools colleges & corporate America with no recourse?

It is the truth & people are rotting in prisons and jails for political persecution right this very second

Your constant pacifist posting to anything that concerns anything right wing while making constant excuses for the Dem side of things is clear as day

You stink to high heavens

You presume it has any left.

Roberts and Barrett have been cowed by the response to Dobbs, even though it was 100% the correct decision constitutionally.
