How do you describe enacting governmental policy to create purposeful market inefficiencies in order to redistribute wealth from the "haves" to the "have nots"?

I call it purposeful illegal immigration.

Then you need to contact Bessent to inform him he's wrong, specifically on wages.

This whole thing is retarded and full of economic ignorance.

Go swindle some soon to be divorced dads out of their nest eggs, maybe you're better at that.

Ummm that is not what he is saying dumbass. He is saying that politicians were basically subsidizing low wages by allowing mass immigration! By stopping mass immigration capitalize takes over and wages are not suppressed! Jesus you are one massive dumbfrick!

Nor did I. But some of this makes sense. I guess it's imperative to deny the human trafficking end of things if you're going to choose the Chamber of Commerce "bring in illegal indentured servants at any social cost" argument.

Bessent specifically indicates he's trying to take from "Wall Street" to artificially give higher salaries to "Main Street"

You have zero listening comprehension skills. By allowing mass immigration and thus lower wages Wall Street benefited from what the government enabling. There is a reason why Paul Ryan undermined Trump non-stop his first term, specifically not passing immigration reform! Hello Koch Brothers!

From where is that capital for private investments originating?

Dust off your intro to macro economics text and read what happens to capital flows (and interest rates) when fedgov borrows less.

Sometimes arguing with you is like arguing with a 2 year old who can only express their feelings by throwing spaghetti at the wall.

The outputs are equally serious.

Yes. Less government (via lax enforcement) led to better market efficiencies and lower wages, which benefited our economy and Americans at large.

More government (by increased enforcement and new regulations) is going to raise wages and hurt our overall economy.

It's going to redistribute money from investment (which leads to new products. companies, and economic growth) into higher salaries for lower-level workers who will not contribute to the factors that create economic growth.

So what will the reversal of these suppressed wages have on prices?

Absolutely nothing because conservatives by nature will conveniently find a way to say they don’t have the money or you can’t throw money at every problem or that it’s a waste.

Then they’ll bitch and complain with wages stay down and prices go up even harder and they’ll blame minorities and democrats.

Dude, you need to go read your last post and realize these words are specifically talking about you

You even included an irrelevant (and incorrect) ad hom

I just called you MadKing because his troll is to avoid arguments by, basically saying what you said.

That point went way over your head.

A function of government.

If we had a workable program for work visas for illegals (they wouldn't be illegal at that point), this black market wouldn't exist.

My plan would eliminate this, too.

I mean people are gnashing teeth but Trump is literally pivoting to propose this right now, starting with ag and hospitality.

We're all laughing at your delusion and the funniest part about it is your lack of awareness.

The flawed assumption. The market will bear the higher price in most of these areas (as they're often essential goods), but will have less to spend elsewhere as a result. That's the point.
So are we finally over the tariffs are inflationary BS, and now onto something else?

We will see when tariffs are fully implemented.

No this has been a recurring issue with Trump since 2016.

There is a policy relationship between the 2, as well as political one (pandering to poorer people for votes via leftist-populist economics)
