I think you just hit on exactly why it wouldn't have been. It's been thoroughly debunked. There is no evidence of evolution as the origin of our species. It's done. Over.

It’s not like they are saying the universe is 6,000 years old now. If anything this will adjust the age of the universe backwards.

Evolution is different from climate “science” which is dependent on computer modeling and theories about the origins of the universe which are based on mathematics, physical laws, and observations made at great distances and with limited overs action. For evolution to be debunked, all fossils have to be debunked, as does geology, what we know about genetics, etc. it’s just not going to happen. The evidence is overwhelming across every earth science field. That doesn’t mean that Darwin got it right in the first time and that pure Darwinism is absolutely true. There are competing theories about how ecosystems develop and about how symbiotic cross species relationships work; but no one is going to look at the evidence and come to the conclusion that everything was created in its current form 6,000 years ago. I’m sorry

When followed completely, all roads of scientific thought lead to a dead-end at some point where a true scientist MUST accept the only logical answer is: GOD.
The problem with most people is that they refuse to follow that road to its inevitable conclusion. Instead they just pull off the side of the intellectual road and proclaim that they’ve arrived at the answer… thus, the Big Bang THEORY and the THEORY of evolution. I say, don’t stop. You’ll eventually arrive at the only answer is a supernatural one- even with these stupid theories.

Stopping would be throwing your hands up and just saying it must be God. If humans had done that ages ago we would still be living in the stone age. Instead we continue to observe and test and prove or disprove or revise our knowledge. And these theories, like evolution, have helped advance us in ways you dont seem to be aware of or care about if you call them stupid. I ll give you a hint.. modern medicine was substantially advanced based on Darwin (and others) stupid theories of evolution. So even if you dont believe in it being responsible for development of life...you still benefit from it every day.
