Can anyone possibly shed some light on why a small school board like Allen parish has a superintendent and also 2 assistant superintendents. Doesn’t make sense when a big parish like Calcasieu has only one. What was the political reasoning for this decision? I was doing some research and ran into this. For such a small parish that is very poor that is a lot of money to me being wasted.

So that they have more people making six figures to tell the people making five figures, (who are actually doing the job), more stupid shite to implement.
Tangipahoa Parish added an Assistant Superintendent of Innovation last summer. No one has any idea what this person does other than draw a big paycheck.

Our board office houses a superintendent and a staff of 15, many of them making 6 digits. Want to know what the student enrollment is for the entire county ? 2,500 students.

Because "public education" is one big, giant scam. And it also permanently damages children by propagandizing them and teaching them to be weak sissies in an authoritarian system that completely kills off all actual strength of mind, body, and soul.
We should be completely rid of it but people still cling to the notion that big daddy government must still have its dirty hands in too many aspects of life.

When I was in High School we had 2. A white assistant superintendent and a black assistant superintendent.
