About the only thing that Carter did that wasn't weak and waffling was his plan to combat OPEC by building a bunch of coal to oil/gas plants. He was after all an engineer by training and coal to oil cost about $50 a barrel to make.

James Buchanan was the worst President ever. In our lifetime, my opinion of where they rank from the bottom as:

1. Biden (by a mile). He is the dumbest President ever, the least competent President ever, the most arrogant President ever, the laziest President ever, the most corrupt President ever and the only President I ever saw actually openly work against what was in the best interest of the country.
