John Roberts owns this.

Republicans are such morons! Democrats on the ropes and if Republicans would show unity they could actually get some things done.
There's always a hand full of Republican assholes like Sasse who give Democrats ammunition

Sasse is an arse. He and Mit are dating each other.

Sasse - "um...I have all this power, via the Constitution, um...yet I didn't do anything. So, Trump did and now I'm mad because he did what we refused to do."

I imagine what's behind all that is that those types plan on being around D.C. in one role or another for a while to come, well past Donald Trump's tenure. Playing the long game to stay in the Washington elites' good graces. Quite sad and lacks intestinal fortitude.

Ben Sasse is a preening prig. He isn’t a leader or a doer. He’s a philosopher. Philosophers typically make for shitty men of action.

Never Trumper from the beginning. He talked more shite about Trump in 2016 than any other Republican.
Sounds like a smart guy, though it wasn’t hard to predict Trump would be such a failure in 2016.

Yeah the dems suck bigly but at least they stick together.
They own some republicans and act like a cult - vote in complete lockstep outside of allowing 1/2 votes go against them in meaningless votes to keep seats - Joe Manchin etc. Conservative politicans fear the media more than the people who elect them and that's a problem.

Trump has been a bigly success if for no other reason than he has triggered your arse at least once a day since 2016.

What successes does Sasse have?
So easy to be the douche screaming No 24/7.
Sasses district is borderline blue. Similar to Maine Cong. 2.

It’s rich as hell for congress to bash Trump
For doing their job they couldn’t do.
For doing their job they couldn’t do.

And this board bitched about it consistently.
I don't care who is in the office and if I actually agree with the policy, we have a legislative branch whose job it is to make law.
Don't worry we'll all start complaining sometime between 5 months and four years from now.

Much as I hate to admit it, he’s right.
I would say Congress needs to get off their arse and do something productive, but given it’s an election year Democrats aren’t about to give The President a legislative win.
So not sure what else can be done right now.

If The house and senate did their job then he wouldn’t have to make the EO .
Trump, too, has a phone and a pen, Ben.

That’s right.
And guess what? They all thought it would be a good idea to leave DC without doing that job. While their constituents are eating a shite sandwich in large part because of them.
None of this HAD to come down to an EO.

As you, yourself, so eloquently, said the Congress has abdicated their role as law makers in favor of being fundraisers for the next election!
