Asking Sam Harris to comment without bias on Trump is like asking a butcher to explain the benefits of becoming a vegetarian or a Realtor to explain why FSBO is better. Not gonna happen. Dude can't see clearly when it comes to Trump. He doesn't understand why he was elected and he doesn't understand his appeal.

He tries to present his philosophical views in the same way Travis Gregory Stano presents his sports views.
He's taken a big risk though: he wants to differentiate himself from his contemporaries, by deviating from the three name calling card. He thought about using four names, but realized Waldo Graham Schwake-Eulenberg was already using that, so he decides on using two names instead.
Unfortunately, judging by your knowledge of all of the aforementioned persons, but lack of familiarity with Sam Harris himself, he has not entered the intellectual sphere of the polymath, GoldenNugget. I think he's hoping that this thread will be his gateway into your enlightened scope.

While I agree with you, and I've read several of Harris' books, it's hyperbole. This description could be used to describe the majority of congress and former presidents. It's a lazy description from him because he is blind to his own bias. Trump is definitely raw but peel back the curtain on any of these politicians and I believe you'll see the same characteristics.
