Well, no, that's not how that works. Democrats tried to play that shite in 2016, too.

It's a bit like selling a house to someone you know has foundational damage because you cleverly hid the problem. That's immoral.

Not surprised your here trying to minimize it, though.

It's also illegal.

Not surprised you don't know what you're talking about, though.

Irrelevant to the discussion. Just because that's easy to quantify and hiding bombshell stories like that laptop isn't, doesn't change the fact that both are robbing people of their consent because you're hiding very relevant information that they'd want to know prior to choosing.

there was a conspiracy among the MSM and social media to cover up the Hunter Biden laptop story

And by the actions of the DOJ, that seems to be illegal.

Twitter troll arrested, accused of election interference related to disinformation campaign (NBC News)

quote:

The notorious Twitter troll and alt-right figure Douglass Mackey, known better as his alter ego, Ricky Vaughn, was arrested Wednesday on federal charges of election interference stemming from allegations of a voter disinformation campaign during the 2016 election.

Mackey is charged with conspiring with others "to disseminate misinformation designed to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote," according to the newly unsealed criminal complaint.

No, it isn't.

One gets you criminal sanctions and the other doesn't.

Pretty straightforward.

Are you suggesting that "yellow journalism" should result in criminal sanctions?

I’m suggesting the opposite, Cathey Newman.

Equal application of law, journalism, if it can even be called that anymore, aside.

And who sets that subjective standard? You?

Turns out, all you're really doing is whining because you don't like this particular flavor of shite journalism.

No. Not me. Not even you or the magnificent intellectual Sam Harris.

Written law.

I’ll add that suggesting conservatives would be OK with a media that shilled to extent of tyranny if it benefitted them is a shitty, lazy take. No party devours their own like the Republican Party.

Has anyone in this thread suggested the media broke specific laws by burying the laptop story, or are they commenting on the burying of that story led to different choices being made at the polls and that's what changed the election?

K.

If you're not advocating that this should apply here, well...what the hell are you on about?

I guess "stolen election" could just mean "we lost, and are still having a historic meltdown about it."

But, that's never what it has meant before.

Maybe this thread is different.

This thread is about what Sam Harris said and its implications. You seem to want to talk about anything but that.

Or maybe… just maybe… this election was different. And people rightfully have an issue with that. Even if you think every vote is authentic, they certainly weren’t legal. Enough to change the results? We’ll never know- but certainly enough to illicit a response by states who saw the issues and knew what they did was wrong.

The media is just as culpable for burying the Biden story as some jackass sitting in jail for posting memes on Facebook. If democrats want to criminalize election interference under such a broad definition, they should apply those standards equally. Then there might not be threads about it for you to whine in. Then what would you do?

This thread is really about the intteligencia on the left engaging in tyrannical behavior in order to save the people from their unacceptable views.

I think history has seen this movie a time or two.

That'd be the implications of what Harris said.

Correct.

Which is what makes Ree Ree Buckeyes take so stupid. When the voices people trust begin to speak this way, people better damn well debate the appropriateness of that.
